I got a call from this number last week but they said they were called TAM Incorporated. I wouldn't trust this number is I were you. They left me a really freaky voicemail on my phone. The person on the other line sounded like a guy pretending to be a girl like on a prank phone call. His voicemal was kinda like this, "Hey Jane! Sorry I missed you! I guess you'll just have to give me a call back. My number is (number not audible). I'm at work ok?!? So call me before noon! Bye!". Somthing tells me that this is one of those scam companies trying to get information on people and pretending to be another company.

I hate these calls! They never leave a message and it just gets so annoying! With my husband deployed I get so sick of these telemarketers bothering us. Its so out of hand! This phone number always calls late at night. Never during the day! If they were legit, couldn't they call at a descent hour?

I also hate these calls. The messages that they leave make no sense. If Mr. Talbot wanted to talk to you, let him call himself. This type of behavior sounds like some sort of predator. If there is a legitimate reason for them to be calling they would do it in a decent manner. If there is anyone out there that can do something about this let us know. The only thing right now is to file a complaint with the federal trade commission.

Someone has been calling at work asking for a person who doesn't work in our office and to my knowledge never has.  The person did identify themselves as "jane", sounded like she was Jamaican.

I told her that this was an office number and that the person she was looking for is not employed by our agency.  She said "thank you and I ended the call.  Hopefully that is the end of the story.

this number is calling my work number and leaving voice mail like they know me and need to speak with me like they are a long lost friend !! The only reason they know my name is because I have to leave it on my outgoing message on my voicemail. The caller claimed her name was Tricia and acted like she was trying to sound "sexy". Thank goodness for caller ID!!!!! I will never answer that number!!

I get calls from these people five or six times a day, on my CELL PHONE. They call from a bunch of numbers and never state their business when they call. I went to their website and they seem really creepy. It talks about "the latest tracking technology" among other things, and their board of directors looks more like a bunch of ex-cons. If anyone knows how to end these calls, I would sure like to know about it!

I just got a call from a female that told me some information about me had been forwarded to her office.  She asked me to confirm the last 4 of my SSN.  I asked her what in the world made her think I would do this.  Her response:

"Sir, you're obviously not getting it.  I already have your information right here, but I need to make sure you're you before I devulge any information to you."

So I said to myself, "Self? Are you interested in hearing about yourself from an obscure stranger?"  I replied "Nope" and told her to lose my number.

Now if I had just returned those 2 movies to BlockBuster before they went to a stinkin' collection agency...

NEVER EVER give anyone your SS# unless YOU initiate the call. 9 out of 10 of any transactions you do with ANY company use those #'s to verify who you are, and can get all your acct info with those four little numbers...DON'T DO IT!

I received a call from them, they are not telemarketers, it was about an account that I had that went delinquent a few years back and I had completely forgotten about.  I asked why they call so late at night (call came in at like 7:45 PM)...duh this is when people are home.  Anyways, I am glad they tracked me down, they agreed to settle the account and I got it resolved before they put a ding on my credit report.  They also asked for me to confirm the last four of my social, which they already had, and for those of you paranoid people out there, there ain't much they can do with the last four.  Anyways this is a legitimate company and you should probably take their call, if you don't they are just going to keep calling anyway.

Duh, take the call and find out what they want.  If they were telemarketers (which they are not) simply take the call and ask to be put on their do not call list.  If they are a collection agency and they are calling for someone else, let them know it is a wrong number.  If they are calling for you, pay your bill!

If you never answer, then how do you know what they want?  As you can see from this message board they are obviously a legitimate business.

I pay all my stuff and you need to realize that there are a lot of scam artist that everone should be concerned over. If these people realy are who they say they are they would call andspeak to you in person rather than have a computer do it. Hell no I do not stay on the line to talk to a computer. If they really want some money from you the least they can do is give a live operator to speak to.

So what you are saying is a legitimate corporation would not invest 100s of thousands of dollars in a predictive dialer with text to specch engines and interactive vocie response, etc. that calls you without a live person having to waste that corporations resources to dial the phone but a scam artist, fly by night con man would?  That makes no sense at all...I actually think the reverse and the reverse of your argument is much more logixal, if someone spends money on that kind of technology to make prerecorded calls, etc. then they are likely a legitimate corporation.  Predictive dialers aren't cheap and I doubt some convited felon would buy one and call you to try to steal your ss #, etc.
