- Canal mark| 3 repliesI have gotten 7 calls from this number in two days. It is a recording from allegedly the summit county jail. A message is left every time and it is a recorded message that says its a free call and asking me to push buttons. It seems strange. That the summit county jail would be using a Texas number. I am assuming the summit county jail they are referring to is in akron Ohio. I am not sure if there is a summit count jail in Texas or not. I do not plan to answer and would advise the same caution.
- Allie Workman| 1 replyI have received a call from this number 5 times in 2 days now. The recording indicates as others have said, it's a free call from the Summit County jail and then there recorded voice (3 from a Carlos Shopshire and 2 from a Daniel Gurly) neither of whom I have ever heard of. I live in Summit County, Ohio and have had several of my sons friends call from Summit County jail and they do not come through a Texas phone number. I also work for attorneys and I have done the research and neither of these two people have a record in Summit County, Ohio. I don't plan on answering these calls but they sure at ANNOYING!
- Caller: TEXAS - Summit County Jail?
- SummitOHResI just got the same phone call and was worried that I declined the call until finding this thread. I live in Summit county but agree that it would be very strange for a call to come through with a TX number. I plan on calling the county jail later to find out and then reporting the call to the police.
- Caller: Summit County Jail?
- Answered Call| 1 replyCalled twice today, it really is Summit County Jail and there was an inmate on the other end, and it was a wrong number....

- Hans Kott| 2 repliesI received 4 calls from 210-900-1850. I Googled the number and it is a San Antonio Texas area code and there is a Summit County in Texas. However I am sure that tis is voice spam.
- kayla| 1 replyI really need to know what county jail the 210 number from because mines sound like kane county or gain county
- Caller: jail
- Rob replies to kaylait is the Summit Co. Jail. I had a family member call from this exact number three times. If however you call this number back, you will NOT get the county jail.
- BDI've recieved two calls from this number. The first time my husband answered, the line was blank. The second time I answered it was a recording from an inmate at the Summit County jail from a David Stoddard.
- ATIt is the Summit County Jail in Akron, Ohio. It's the number that shows up on the caller ID if an inmate is calling you. It's not a scam or anything like that. If you know anyone in jail, or anyone you think might end up in jail, it's probably them calling you. Or an inmate dialing the wrong number. Either way, take the call, it doesn't cost you anything and even if it isn't someone you know, I'm sure the person on the other end would like to know they're dialing the wrong number trying to get some help.
- 5thveilThe jail phone system nowadays uses various phone companies to handle the calls the inmates want to make. Which is why for those of you in Ohio are getting the calls from TX. It's just the company the jail is using. No scam, just an inmate who has your number.
- vljI have received 7 calls from the 210-900-1850 number in the past 3 days. II is not a legitimate phone number. I am also get "jail calls" from another number - 866-847-1251. Never is an inmate's name given. The new number does not even identify the state where the call is originating from! Careful!!! don't press any numbers!
- Caller: Summit Cty Jail???
- cindySeeing that you all say Summit county jail makes sense as our grand son is in there.....I believe all the jails now use some sort of service that you actually have to pay for. I'm still not going to answer it :)
- AJ| 2 repliesI'm over 40 times so far with this number. Still a Summit county jail, I've never pressed one to accept but it is getting ridiculous. Multiple times it calls and calls and calls before giving up for the day and starts all over the next day! The one time I did listen to it, the recording says its a woman and I can barely understand her when she speaks her name. Police report now.
- Caller: Summit County Jail
- AJ replies to AJ| 1 reply....and its been going on for over a month now. Daily calls.
- AJ replies to AJ...and I called the Summit county jail to get them to stop this "inmate" . No one there by the name and they do not use this automated system from Texas....
- JBThis is the telephone service used by the Summit County Jail in Akron, Ohio. Inmates must use this service in order to make calls outside of the jail. Inmates have accounts set up that are prepaid. The recording should ask you if you want to accept a call at no-charge by pressing 5.
