- merlinMe thinks this number is "spoofed". When I looked it up, Spokeo tells me the number is invalid.
- Webster| 1 replyThis company called me 12-05-13 and tried to get me to log on to the internet in order to retrieve information from my computer. Stating some company had accessed my computer and personal information through some type of junk mail that could not be picked up by Norton or McAfee. When I told the man I did not have internet he called me silly and stated I should have said that in the first place. I think this is another way that criminals are trying to still an individuals personal information to do illegal activity. When I did a reverse phone check on the number there was no such number, also when I tried to redail the number from my phone I received a recording that the telephone number was invalid.

- SteveReceived a call from this number on 08 JAN 2014. A man with a bad accent wanted me to do something with my computer. After many angry words from me, he could not come close to convincing me. In particular, he told me that Norton and McAfee did not know about these viruses, so I demanded to know how he knew. After a little more doubletalk from the caller, I told him I didn't believe anything he said, and hung up.
- cateSecond call in 18 minutes from pest callers supposedly located in New York City. This one had NEW YORK in the caller ID, and the other one had ALERT in the callerID (347-753-9062)

- sThis man called with a foreign accent telling me that there was something wrong with my computer. I asked how he got my number. He kept talking about the problems with my computer. I asked him how he even knew that I had a computer and he then proceeded to tell me to, "go to hell" and I told him that wasn't possible today.
- toslperson asked if I was the owner of the computer and I said "no" which temporarily stunned the caller who said "you are not the owner of the computer?" to which I replied "who are you?" - he sort of identified a company (unintelligible) and said that microsoft had detected a problem with our computer and I said, "I don't think so!" He asked how I knew that, was I a technician, to which I said, Yes! "You are an IT technician?" "Yes!" He repeated some sort of "detected problem" and I stated there was no way to connect the computer with this phone number. He seemed befuddled, and eventually hung up.
I never send "error reports" to companies, so I know this was leading to unethical activity.- Caller: New York Call
- DSimilar experience as listed above.
- MThey have you pull up a computer log file which shows errors your computer has encountered (standard windows stuff). Lockups etc. Then the "technician" Paul something american that still has the accent but is trying to hide it wants you to go to a join.me.com web site, that way they can get in your pc and start looking around. For some reason, my home phone was having some problems and I had just unplugged my dsl line and was going to check my phone out on that jack when i got the call. I heard the phone ring in the garage and answered it. Could hardly understand the guy. I didnt fall for the joinme website, told them i knew exactly what they were trying to do and told him to go phishing somewhere else and hung up. I tried to call them back but it would not go through. I wanted to ask whoever if their computer was running then tell them to go catch it. LOL
- L doyleShut them out scam
- L SI got the same thing as those above. First time the call rang through with that number I picked it up and some guy was talking as fast as he could in Arabic or similar. I just listened for a second and hung up.
A few minutes later it rang again with only the last number changed on the number and this time it was the bad accent wanting on my computer. I hang up again. - TonyJGot a call from them. The guy kept rattling on about "your computer has reported problems" and is "downloading all the junk files from the internet when you very first log on" and just mumbling at points. Now, there are only a few problems with the truth ..... a) I do have a computer. b) It is connected to the internet - however it is never disconnected, so if I had downloaded all of the junk files to my computer that the internet has I would have no computer at this point. c) I do not, will not and have not ever gone to a website from anyone's direction over the phone unless it is a call I placed to a company and they are trusted by me. Very recently I quit smoking and tend to get ticked when people push me - this guy found that out.
To his credit - he let me rant on him, then asked, "Are you now ready to fix your computer?" I almost started laughing. When I told him I didn't have a computer he asks, "Do you have a laptop?" I told him I got a lap dance once. He had no clue what that meant. I hung up.- Caller: Totally unknown
- Call type: Prank
- UnhappyGeorge???? I told him I didn't know him and he was never to call my # again, then he F bombed me and said he was going to keep calling then hung up, I would love to sick a few of my people on "George" with the middle eastern accent, stay away from my family. Period.
- Caller: George with some accent
- WandererThis guy calls me with a foreign accent and asks about my computer.Sometimes its a woman.Being a horror movie fan,I sometimes wonder if these calls are coming from inside my house....Creepy.
- TiredI did not pick and they left no message.
- BAMCaller (in slow, broken English) called telling me that "they" are calling me to advise that there are "applications on my computer with a known virus" and that they need to have me work with them to fix. I laughed at him and said you are totally full of crap and I am reporting your scam of an operation... as I took him 'off his script' he starting babbling and I hung up. DO NOT fall for this scam!
- TGSame story as everyone else...but because I knew it was a scam - he never got any further then. I'm calling about your computer...and I said what is the name of your company...he said pc...something... - well unknown company and sorry you guessed the wrong type of computer.
Please listen to everyone and just don't answer the call !!! SCAM !!! Take care and have a great day : )- Caller: PC Something
- Don't do IT!a foreign speaking man calling himself Alex Parker tried to get me to logon my computer. he would not tell me his firm only that i had problems that microsoft, norton or mac afee could not fix. the info he gave did not make sense, so i hung up.
