He claims to be a stockbroker.  The first few times he called he claimed to be from John Thomas or Thomas John Financial and on subsequent calls he would not answer questions about what company he works for.  He calls and acts like we're bosom buddies and makes refeerences to previous conversations we've never had.  He has my name but I have an unlisted number.  Very obnoxious and pushy.  I strung him along to waste some of his time and he never broke character, even when I totally changed answers as to where I lived, etc.  As the conversation went on he started asking me how much money I had in the stock market and whether I'd be willing to give him my social security number over the phone if we did business together.  LOL!  He's called me at least six times, always with a different telephone number.  These are the numbers he's used.  On 4 of the calls it was unknown but on two calls it was identified as John, Thomas Financial.

I SUSPECT THAT THIS IS "SPARTAN CAPITOL"  212 293-0004.  THEY HAVE CALLED FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THEIR NUMBER IS BLOCKED.
PERHAPS THEY ARE CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER NOW.

FACT 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total and complete waste of time.  Done that.
FACT 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
FACT 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list – you’ll get laughed at!
FACT 5 - no "class action" law suits are being filed and certainly, none are being LITIGATED.  
FACT 6 – contacting the BBB – LAUGHABLE!!!  The BBB is a corrupt organization that sells their ratings to the highest bidder.

Call blocking phones are very inexpensive $40-$60 and they come with, at least, one wireless handset.  Very, very convenient.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset.  COSTCO & AMAZON SELL THEM.

                     They work beautifully!  These phones also block
                  “PRIVATE,” “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

         NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN’T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.

                 NOTHING ELSE WILL STOP THESE TELEMARKETERS!

Calls every day, has different numbers they are calling from. Very annoying. Today's number was 212-227-2031

Same as Ric said... he referred to a conversation we never had and tried to sell me Facebook stock pre-IPO.  At least come up with something believable and don't start off the conversation by lying to me.

They do have access to FB pre-ipo stock. Its called a secondary market transaction. Look at sharespost.com. It is out there and i know for a fact that jtf has a significant amount.  If you dont want to receive calls from anyone, tell them and put yourself othe DNC. But calling hard working people liars  without substantiation is un called for. Your skeptsism is obviously deeply rooted but let me ask you this, when have you been truly screwed over the phone.

Called three times.  The first two were from unknown 000-000-0000.  Being that it is a business phone I always answer.  They were asking for the owner.  When I told him he was unavailable he called back asking for him again so I hung up.  Called a 3rd time asking me what my problem was and I told him the owner was not here and to stop calling and harassing me.  He started to raise his voice with me so I asked from his supervisor. He told me he was his supervisor and I asked for someone above him and he said there was nobody. I then again hung up. I tried to call the 212-227-2031 back to speak to someone in charge and it isn't even a working number.

ps Sounds like Traderdave works for the company and decided to google his own number.

This number also called our office asking for the owner by name.How he knew his name is a mystery to me.When I told him the owner was not here,he asked when would he be back?I answered him "within a week". Then he asked,"where did he go? "With who did he go"?& asked for his personel cell number.Ithen gave the phone to the office manager & then he decided to yell at my supervisor demanding answers.He was a real JERK!! When asked who he was and his name,he kept avoiding the questions by asking his own.Then when we tried calling the number back,it just rang and rang and rang with no answer.No voicemail or mailbox to leave a message.

a lady called from this number and ask my daughter her name and how old she was, and when my daughter handed me the phone she hung up. My daughter is now upset because this lady ask her personal information and tried to act like a friend of my husbands. I tried to call this number back and it rang and rang with no answering machine. Then after I tried another couple of times the number is now giving a busy tone. I then googled this number to find that they have been calling other people.
