Really, then why don't they leave a message?

It really is B&H. They never leave messages unless there's a problem with your order.

They kept calling me. Finally I picked up the phone and screamed, "[***]!" After that they stopped calling.

Considering that I have never used B&H photos, they have no reason to call me about my "order". Either they are telemarketing, or they have a wrong number. If they call again, they'll have a blocked number.

This number called me and asked that I call them back at 1-866-741-1250 to verify my order. I though nothing of it and called back. Let me tell you this was not the verification department. They asked several times for my credit card #. I absolutely did not give it to them but the call came from the BH Photo number however the message they left was not from them.

B&h photo called to "confirm my order" I said I did not order anything and hung up. He called right back and said I think we got disconnected, I said no I hung up because I never ordered anything. Sure enough there were then 4 pending charges from them on my credit card, had to call in fraud.

B&H has a long and sterling reputation as an electronics retailer. I think they would be very concerned with a trend of Caller ID spoofing by thieves.

Sounds like someone stole your credit card information.  Had a similar incident with a local hardware store.  They called because my order was in but I hadn't ordered anything.  They said the order was taken on their web site and because I was a previous customer and known to them they automatically phoned me using the number they had on file.  When they examined the order, they found that my card was used but a different phone number was entered.  Hope you catch the crook.  :-)

Verification dept from B&H photo called and left VM to verify purchase made with my credit card. They gave me last 4 #s of my CC and order number. I didn't not place order. I first called CC to report fraud then called 800# left on VM. Man who answered was very helpful. 2 purchases were made with my CC. One was overnighted to my house. He sent me return label to send item back and reversed the other larger charge.

It was B&H photo calling about an order I had placed and a post-order survey I had filled out. Awesome customer service!!!

B&H Photo called me to let me know that it looked like someone was using my CC to buy MacBooks.  They cancelled all outstanding orders and told me to call my CC company right away.  CC co investigated and reversed all charges.  There were also fraudulent charges from other businesses in NY.  Took care of all those, too.  B&H was very helpful and I probably wouldn't have known about the charges for another week or so if they hadn't called.

I got the same - message from B&H photo calling to confirm my order. Never heard of them, never placed an order with them. I looked on Yelp, apparently they are a real company in NY, but this phone number doesn't resemble theirs. I appreciate the comments left here - helped me figure out quicker that this is a SCAM. Never called them back, checking my credit every day now.

This B&H just called me at 11:18pm.  I will be filing a complaint with the attorney general's office in the morning.  By the way, I have none, not have I ever had any dealings with these people.  They have no business calling me, especially that late at night.

Same. Someone stole my cc info and had a nice Xmas shopping spree. Check your bank account guys. It shows up as “b&h photo” not sure if it is the real store though.
