Unfortunately, they are still making these ads (almost word for word from the Apr-7th post). Right off the bat, something seemed fishy. I first got the call from 212-268-9709, and when I answered, the person hung up and then called from this number: 212-594-8000. What company would do this? Perhaps one that knows people are on to them.

When I finally talked to this person, she didn't even introduce herself and just rushed me into setting up a "consultation" as soon as possible. After a few minutes of research, I found out that I was right, it was a good ol' fashioned scam. What's worse, after trying to find the original job ad on craigslist (using the posting id in my search), I have found that it was removed and replaced with a slightly different ad (extras for a movie set in China Town). Needless to say, I will not be coming in for their interview.

I would advise everyone to avoid this place like the plague. If you don't avoid them, don't pay them a single red cent!

I got a call from them (212-594-8000)ealier today and stopped by their office, met with a guy named Bradley Poster.  He told me I needed 100 headshots, and I can make $200-$500 an hour or $2000 a day to start.  Headshots are $250 and wanted me to take them right there on the spot, but I told him I didn't have a dime or any plastic on me (I lied, just didnt buy into his lies) and I would come back another day for it.  They will never see me again!

I read the ad on craigslist and called. They didnt ask any information of size and height. just asked around what time I could come in. Then I decided to look up the phone number. Cause they don't put the companies info in the ad. It's a shame companies could still go on doing this. They make aspiring models have doubts, when they truly don't have there clients.

Responded to a post on Craigslist in NYC which said something about some new cooking show about people having cooking disasters. Send a picture and story about cooking disasters and a contact number.

They clearly use this to get a [***] load of responses without any direct trace to their professionalism (website, professional e-mail, etc). Sent my email 2-3 days ago, then received a call from 212-268-9709 and they left a message to call 212-594-8000. Message left was far from professional, and some obviously young ghetto black girl left the message.

Called the number and was asked to hold for a good minute. Maybe doing a call check on my number to see if they scammed me already. Already hip to the type of [***] like this I was skeptical from the start. Told me how they operate stating they find people off CL and other places and work as recruiters to get you in as extras and TV shows.

At that moment I asked SPECIFICALLY if it will cost me any money for headshots or some other nonsense. Ghetto black girl on the phone says nothing at all, NO COST. Told me they are available until 8:30pm and to stop by now if I could. Or make an appt for tomorrow. Made appt for Noon to arrive to 35th Street btw 7&8th Avenue, asked for specific address and was told 224 West 35th street Suite 203. I know this area well and I know for a fact is used heavily by con-artists, [***] houses, sweat shops, and other illegal activities.

Glad I googled the number to save me the effort of going down there!

got a call from MTN on 7/22 212-594-8000.  an asian female wanted me to come in that day - said i could not, then she said what about thursday at 1:30?  I said unavailable and I told her 3:30 pm.  Seemed too pushy.  Google the number and found this site.  I had not planned to go anyway b/c i believe i went there a couple of years of ago.  Yeah, it's all a BIG SCAM!!  I asked her if it would cost me anything, she said no.  Then they had the nerve to call to verify appointment for today 7/24.  Duhhhhh!  No reputable agency stays open late at night.  Thanks guys for the heads up!!   DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Thanks to all for these messages, i'm not going for the interview and happy to use my time more productively.

They also told me on the phone that there were no fees, charges, etc., but I'd rather not take my chances wasting time and money.

It's not hard to figure out what a scam is. Right from the beginning I knew something was wrong when I signed in I noticed the "receptionist" being unprofessional and talking on the phone while pointing to a pen and paper to fill out. Behind her was a mess of boxes and 80s colored curtains. Second, when Brad took me into his office I noticed the doors were jammed and the locks were making it difficult for Brad to open the door. He pressured me for 7 minutes to take photos and went from $150 to $40 for 100 photos. I was still skeptical and asked for some company info and a brochure. He was shaking and seemed extremely nervous when I asked him if the company practices were evn valid. The door flew open as Brad rushed to speak to another victim who had interrupted. I overheard Brad telling the victim he needed the money today and the victim said he'd get him te $30 for the photos. $30 compared to my $40? I asked Brad for a card, a cheap - not even on quality cardstock - paper card with his first name only. Plus, the cut on the card was funky and not even straight as though someone were in a hurry to cut the cards. Even as I left Brad was pressuring me to take photos. I just got up and left. He was like a clingy car salesman. In addition, 1 hour after I left the receptionist called me and asked if I made it to the appointment. When I told her I just left over an hour ago she hung up.

The office is whacked out and the people are generic [***] folks. You have got to be an idiot to be scammed by a company whose doors flop like paper and who uses toilet paper for business cards. Seriously folks. Educate and inform yourselves. The reason they're still in business is because idiots keep giving in and because there isn't a contract. I ASKED BRAD FOR A CONTRACT TO GUARANTEE ME EMPLOYMENT AFTER THE SHOOT AND HE REFUSED SO I LEFT.

PS They called me from 212-268-8014 and also from ext 8015.

I just got a call after responding to their "extras" post on craigslist.

She gave me a call back number that i asked for "in case I can't make it": 212-244-4330 (which, after looking up, is registered to an individual at another address) and she called me from 212-268-8013.

Glad I found this so I don't go.

    Today I got a call from 212-268-8013

I also just made an appt with World Model Talent.  The girl gave me a phone number of 212-244-4330 to call back.

Someone needs to shut this operation down.  Glad I decided to do my homework before my appt.

Thank you all SO much for saving me time and trouble!  I had written in to an ad looking for "all types" for a photo shoot depicting a couple's 50th wedding anniversary, supposedly wearing vintage clothing.  Pay would be $125 for the day.

I got the call from NYMT at 212-268-8013, and the "receptionist" wanted to make an appointment, just as everyone else said.  The only difference here is that I was directed to room  as opposed to 203.

Horrible how these losers prey on people.  Thank God for the internet and honest people sharing their experiences!!!

Yeah, I had an appointment w/World Model Talent for this morning, but something felt off from their phone call to me...I don't send to general agencies; I sent in for a specific job for a real company(Metro PCS), but they were calling me for a general meeting w/this "agency". The caller did not know what job I had sent my info in for.
Also: the call was very rushed--I couldn't really follow everything; she did not offer her name; when I asked, she id'd herself as Holly.  No basic questions about me, like do I already have representation.
The number they called from was different than the ones reported by others, but very close (212-244-4431). Also, the Building and floor were the same but the room number was different(Room #216).
