- Yuona| 2 repliesI got a call and spoke to the woman for a while. She was offering seasoned tickets to the 2012 / 2013 Carnegie Hall season but refused to email me any info or give her phone # back. She was quite forceful and seemed to want me to commit to some concerts (some of which were >1yr away). I found this suspicious.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MrV replies to YuonaThat number is definitely Carnegie Hall. And yes, they tried to sell me concerts that are nine months to a year away. I recently attended a concert there.
I didn't take a such a dim view though. They're just trying to keep alive in the classical music business which is not in great shape these days. - JeddWe've been getting calls from them for a while now - ever since the last time we bought tickets online. The name never showed up on the Caller-ID, only the number. Today, they called, and the Caller ID name showed "Hall, C."
One time my wife answered, and the person calling identified himself as a conductor. She had a long conversation with him. He was a serious music professional, not someone in a boiler room in a low-wage country thousands of miles away. Apparently everyone has to do their share of telemarketing at Carnegie Hall.- Caller: Carnegie Hall
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- ZeldaCall from "Hall C" . Carnegie Hall. I wouldn't have answered this, but we have friends with the last name Hall, so my partner picked up; they promptly hung up. They apparently call from this number to sell you tix. I am on their mailing list, but only buy from the website. Strange that they would hang up.
- Caller: Carnegie Hall, NYC
- Zelda replies to AnonymNever confirm your name until you confirm who is calling. That's what answering machines are for.
- Anonymous replies to YuonaIt's not suspicious, it is actually Carnegie Hall. If you've bought tickets for any event at any time you need to give them a phone number. Once they get that, they'll call you non-stop for donations/ticket packages.

- SallyI received several calls from Carnegie Hall because I attended 2 concerts there. The first call was a woman wanting me to be some kind of "partner" for a mere, $2,000! For that amount, I should demand my talented brother perform on stage with his knee farts. When I laughed, she said, "Ok, Let's do $50 a month." Apparently you get some tours, discounted tickets and help some poor kids with a music program. I've blocked at least 2 numbers from them. Persistent pests.
- Caller: Carnegie Hall
- Call type: Unwanted
- PatI’m a longtime subscriber at Carnegie Hall, so the call didn’t bother me (once I verified the caller). But I understand how it would be annoying if you’d only gone to a concert or two.
