    Exhibitor
Calling trying to sell hotel rooms for Expo Champs in Quebec even though we are not exhibitors at this event. Wouldn't give the company name but implies that they're responsible/associated with Expo Champs and that "the number of rooms set aside for exhibitors is limited". Called 3 times in 2 days until I told him I knew it was a scam. Claimed to be in Quebec although it is a NY phone number, also gave me a California number the first time he called despite what the caller ID said.

SCAM SCAM SCAM ALERT - called claiming to represent the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio about hotel reservations.  This convention warns their exhibitors about hotel scammers, so pretty much everyone is aware that ANYONE calling to try to get you to sign up for a hotel reservation is a scammer.  Which I told the caller, and hung up on him.  Don't answer their calls and don't entertain their sales pitch - just hang up and block their number.

I have to agree it's a scam, considering February 2015 was 7 months ago.
