This is another variation of the NY Phil Harmonic.  

Although I had asked my name to be removed form their list, This was the "Friends of NY Phil Harmonic"  the person I asked was the "Subscription" department and they apparently don't talk to one another.

Worse still, I did not pick up this call initially.  Instead I called back and the person on the other end told me she did not have my informaiton in front of her and so could not make a note that I should not be called.  Her suggestion?  wait until I was called again...

Got 2 calls from this # over the past week. Since I missed both times, I called back and each time the person who answered the phone didn't even respond and simply hung up. Very annoying. I'm not sure who this is.

I've been receiving incessant calls (almost every day) from NY philharmonic since making a donation 2 years ago.  They call from multiple phone numbers; most of them begin with 212-496-*

Same here.  One donation and they have been harassing for 2 years.  Should not have donated.  No good deed goes unpunished.

I simply went to a concert. No funny business, just a concert. Now I'm on their radar.  I would think an organization like the prestigious NY Philharmonic would be above annoying cold calls. Maybe they have discount Viagra too...  

Pick up and tell them that you're not interested upfront and they will leave you alone. Use a call screening service such as Google Voice or Vonage or something like that the next time you buy tickets so you can block their calls. Never give them your work or cell number.

NY Philharmonic has been calling me incessantly too, for over a year.  I bought a ticket to one show, then the calls started. I asked the caller to take me off their list. When that didn't happen I emailed their subscription office, but did not receive an answer. Now I just don't pick up. But I may try to raise this issue with them again. It is such a bad marketing move on their part - it really does leave a bad impression.
