    annoyed
CID said "DEPT OF HOUSING'. We had already blocked that area code so the call couldn't go through. There's no reason for Dept of Housing to be phoning us nor are we anywhere near New York..

    Confused
Caller id said HUD but when i picked up i could clearly hear someone there.Kept saying hello and finally when i said what do you want they mumbled something and hung up.Clearly not anyone from HUD....Very confused. When you call back it tells you mailbox is full and directs you to other mailboxes or operator but no one picks up if you try the operator.

CID said "Department of Housing", and a man with a very thick accent started talking about how my computer (would only specify the "Windows Computer", not which one) was downloading files that I might not want and he was going to teach me how to identify them. I then questioned him how he got my information, and he said it was from a questionnaire sent to people around the globe. Unsatisfied, I then asked him who gave him my contact information (already his story doesn't match up). His response was that it came from the company I purchased my computer from. I told him that the places I bought my computer from have not asked me nor stated that the purchase of a product allowed them to sell my information to the company he represents. He then said "It is perfectly okay because it is normal for these things to happen for your safety". Then I hung up.

I missed the cal from this number. I only got the "Hello Hello" he left on my machine.
I have learned how to waste their time. There are a bunch of YOUTUBE videos about this. Some of them are pretty funny.  https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Xf2d0nBtz_U

I hope this guy calls back.

12:23p March 10, 2015 Caller hesitated as I said hello a few times, heard TV in the background, then the caller repeatedly (5x-6x) said "I'm going to kill you." I hung up.

As long as people keep answering these obviously fake numbers, the scammers will keep on calling.  Our best defense against these parasites is to ignore them, block them, and report them.  Which I just did.  Aggravating morons, the lot of them.

Do not pick up these calls, and do not let them get picked up by your answering machine.  Each time you do, you get put into the "picked up" pile and sold to other scammers as a good number.  If you don't pick up, you will eventually be moved to the "did not answer" list and they cant sell anyone else these numbers, because there's no value to them.  The calls will eventually stop of slow WAAAYYYYY down.  Again, DO NOT PICK UP!
