Got a call, from this number today, 5/27/14 at 10:40AM, EDT.  I wasn't home to answer (nor would I have, even if home), and no message was left.  CID was New York, obviously with the 212 area code.  

Indian sounding male, says comp has a virus. Want you to log on to your comp so he can "remotely fix it!" Husband is IT professional and says this is a fraud/scam. DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, OR LOG ON TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR HIM TO REMOTELY RUN IT!!!!.. Guy claims to be calling on MICROSOFTs behalf to fix the virus.

Got a call from this invalid number this morning at 10:36am.  The 555 exchange number is not a valid exchange number, thus the phone number is invalid.  Another spoofed number so you have no idea who's really calling.  Didn't bother to answer, let it go to voice mail, no message left, thus it was another unimportant (scam, telemarketer, etc) call that was happily ignored.

Got my call on 5/27/14, at 10:40AM, EDT, which I did not answer.  CID was simply 'New York'.  If this is from IT scammers, heed the warnings.  NEVER give these idiots any information regarding your PC.  You would never be solicited, in this matter, i.e., cold calls.  As a former IT professional, I can tell you it's a scam usually perpetrated upon the unsuspecting.
