      I got a call today too from them.  It said i had 5 new VMS and then I got a text and then it called again.

      This company is used by Universities as part of their Emergency Notification systems -- you can probably go through your University's web page to modify how you receive emergency alerts (calls, emails, text message, etc.)

        Oh, it's NYU's Emergency system...It's a test because I got a text immediately after that explained it.

    i received a call today from them and it was a test of the NYU emergency alert system.

      BU uses the Send Word Now system with other universities across the country. BU has used the alert system this morning. It is not a test.
