I've been receiving a call on my cell phone once each day from this number. (Haven't been answering because I didn't recognize the number.)  I looked it up once and it shows as the fax number of Merchants Cash & Capital, LLC on a Bloomberg Businessweek website (http://investing.businessweek.com/research/st ... vcapId=41022660)  I assumed someone was mistakenly trying to send me a fax and figured the calls would stop - but they haven't.  Today I answered and there is a recorded message.  I hung up immediately and am reporting here.

MCC has nothing to do with this... this is a phone error that another entity is causing, and that entity is being researched and what they are doing is considered legally actionable.  Apologies for the inconvenience.

DS, I am so sorry about this... it is not MCC.  Another entity is doing this and has the MCC fax # for some reason, which no one knows why!  I think it may be a technical error but our attorneys and IT departments are trying to figure who is causing this and why.

I just received a call from this number.  When I answered there was no response and they hung up after a few seconds.

Once again, the bored ones are calling from this "fax" number now.

Hello A TAXPAYER
There is another company using this fax # to contact you.  There is no reason for it, other than to hurt MCC.  We are trying to put it to rest and we have contacted all authorities to put an end to it.  We don't know why they are using a fax # to call you, but it certainly is in error.

This "number" calls my funeral home EVERY day, and there is no person and or recorded message. I fax to them on my companies letter head to remove my # and not to call again. I keep every fax transmission in the event a real do not call registry exists and you can actually report people like this and know that there will be consequences, but I digress. They are a scam and a huge joke. Reason why? Someone trying to cover themselves made a website named it www.2126561080.com and it sends you right to a link of reported calls with some wacked out message about being sorry for these calls and that "someone" is using them. Of which is listed when you google the # to try and figure out who it is attached to. Well, genius, if that was indeed the case don't you think there would be a name and number to refer to someone who actually works for the "bonafide" MCC if they actually exist? And why in the world wouldn't this MCC change thier phone numbers? If they do exist, being proactive to solve the problem doesn't not mean posting silly apologies and even dedicating a webpage to a seriously bogus message. I mean come on, if they are a bloomberg business, don't you think they would be more professional about something like this????

I have been calls everyday for the last week from this number, it is a prerecorded message trying to sell loans. I am a business and it is annoying.

I have been getting calls from this number regularly for the past month.  I never answer as I recognize the number as being bogus.  I don't buy into these MCC apologies and excuses either, its the scammers trying to cover their you-know-what.  If if were really MCC folks I promise you they would have put a stop to it already and not allowed these irratating calles to continue.  Nothing you can do but simply ignore them then erase any message that might be left.  What a pain...you'd think such techno savvy folks could put their resources to good use instead of wasting time with these junk calls.

Just got the call at my business too! I'm thankful for call blocking and will be adding them. Plus I have learned if you ever get any calls wanting to verify your address and such hang up they use your answers for scare tactics into paying some big bill you never authorized. Don't fall for it just hang up.

I just created a Don't Pick Up contact for it and set my phone to be silent when they call.

Yep, they are just phishing for information.

This number calls with a recorded message that you are eligible for grants and need to talk to their representatives. There is no operator on the line while the message plays to answer questions (which is illegal), and the speaker speaks too fast to take accurate notes. When you press "1" to get to an assistant to process your grant, you only get a voice mail box to leave a message.

I just received my first call from this number with the grants offer others have gotten.  I wish we could link this annoying guy up with Rachael from Card Services and let them harass each other!

They called and the recording stated they knew my business had been around at least 2-3 years (actually it's closer to 25 years). However, they were calling me at home. They were really annoying. This was New Year's Holiday. Wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole.

Started receiving calls to my cell phone from this #.  I use my cell for business.  Please stop these unwanted calls.
