Getting strange calls from NY area codes at my home.  Didn't answer...any thoughts?

Calls from either 212-659-6471 or 403-383-6076 will ask for you to get a money card and call them back with the number on the card.  Don't give any info and do not do what they say.  They have a made up story they will tell you to make you feel badly....ex:  they called my neighbor and pretended to be her Grandson who needed money to get out of jail because they were in a car accident.  There are probably more numbers, but these are the two that I know of.

They just called my home,  I did not answer.  I DO NOT answer calls that I do not recognize.  Adding to my BLOCKED LIST.

I got a call from an 'unavailable number' They told me that I had won $750,000 and a car. All I had to do was go to a CVS store and get a green dot money card for $125 and they would deliver the money and the car tomorrow. Gave me the number to call him right back of (876) 792 0566. When I did not call back he called me again  from (212-659-6471 and asked why I didn't call him back. I told him I was busy feeding my dog.

Received call. He claim I cut him off down town. Was never there . Claim he had many licence number but wood not tell me. Then he said he will take my driver licence.then I toll him for his name. So I. Could report him for the miss use of his office. He hung up.

This number calls me and my grandma (shes on my cell phone plan) at 7am atleast once a month saying my work or home will be served with legal documents against me today. If I wished them to stop legal action against to call them back. If you call them back asked to be taken off their call list or to speak to supervisor they hang up on you. Its a scam don't answer their calls in just delete their messages!!

Called for the second time claiming to be the customer service rep with my local autoshop, which does not employ anyone from New York, or outsource any of its work. Called back, call cannot be completed. Scam.

Called and said I had a problem with my win7 pc ..... Nice try [***] .... No pc here I'm a Unix user!!

jut got a call at 4am from a indian sounding man ..asking me about my comp...he started to argue with me ...i started to tease him and he hung up on me

If you really want to get rid of these guys ...even though we are on the "nohasslelist" through our faithful government([***])
if you talk dirty, , or copy cat them, ask for their cell so you call them at 4am ...well goal is to ge them angry ...so 212 659 6471 ...i think jerry seinfeild was on to somthing...then i call the number back ..nothing

Received a few missed calls from this number while I was at work.  Didn't leave any voicemails.  When I try to call the number back, it never connects - or rings busy.

I just got a call from this number. I picked up and he called 2 more times after I hung up on him. He said he got a notification from my computer. Total scam.
Called from unavailable then 2126596471 then 8001

This is what my voice mail reads:

"Hello we have been trying to reach you. This call is official final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service is the reason of this call is to let you know that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information please call immediately on our department number 202-470-0872. I repeat 202-470-0872. Thank you."

I am listing this as an unknown call type as scam is not a choice. Call came in at 11:36 a.m. yesterday.

called and asked for grandpa....probably asked for grandpa since a male voice answered and I said u have the wrong number and she pressed a couple buttons and than hung up

called and said that they were geeksquad and that my computer was reporting an issue and that I needed to go turn my computer on so that they could help me fix.  This is the second call that I receive from this number.

It's a land line. I tried texting to get them to stop calling me several times a day every day for a week now. I don't answer random calls at work during "political season" (pretty much constantly these days in the US), but they don't leave messages, nor do they answer returned calls. I've now blocked them, but can't something be done other than random reporting to any number of similar websites? Can't anyone get these people to stop? Reading MANY of these pages, it seems like they randomly pick a scam and try -- for years! Is there no government agency to stop them?

Well I just got a call from 212-659-6471 answer and hung up on them and then the called me back from an unknown number and saying I owe money and all

An Indian male person claiming to being from Google told me my email had been hacked and that I had to get to my computer and do something on it. Of course I told him no and to send me an email or letter explaining what was going on.

Blocked this number after reading this site. Calls from 212-659-6471 are nuisance, probably scam, calls.
