Caller ID showed "Uncommon Goods."   Yeah, Right...their voice message indicated they were simply another "Medical Alert" scammer which unfortunately are all too "common."

I blocked this UNCOMMONLY BAD number FOREVER!

Random numbers using 212 area code begin talking over answering machine message.  Nonsense about FREE Medic Alert device and $1000 in coupons and other unbelievable items.

Does anyone actually buy into a phone call like this?

Got a call from this number yesterday, see what happens, answered and told them to remove number before they had a chance to say anything.

Didn't answer and they left no message. I figured it was another scam. They also use 212-660-5351.
FREE .....nothing in life is totally free anymore.

WhiteSand,  You are better off not answering these unwanted calls.   Asking/Telling them to remove your number
falls on deaf ears and your request is ignored.

When this call came in, it was recognized as a scam call, and was confirmed by checking with this website.
It is now blocked on my phone system.  

Their (UncommonGoods) phones were hacked and some scammer is using their number to find information.  Spoke the actual companies customer service who said they were inundated with calls.  T

You're right to be suspicious of these calls - these are definitely not coming from UncommonGoods. They're retailer of jewelry, baby items, household goods. Somebody has hijacked one of their numbers and is auto-dialing people at all hours of the day and night

Please be smart and don't provide any personal information to anyone who calls you. If a company calls you offering you free merchandise but they need your credit card info in order to send you the "free" items, don't fall for it. Report these calls to the FCC. When your phone bill comes in, check to see which number actually called you and report that as well.

Just silence when I picked up the call on my cell phone at 11:25 AM PDT (on DNC List.)  Added to scam caller database.

When they called me they stated I was eligible for a Medical alert system. My bet is they got a list of people on Medicare. Their target is obviously the elderly.

@ Rodnil   The elderly do fall victim to this kind of call. They are afraid of falling. Thinking they could get something like this for free might attract them. In order to get it they would easily be convinced to give their credit card info and SS# thinking it would be submitted to Medicare.

I added this # to my list of banned phone numbers. 62 #'s have been added to my database so far. This works much better than asking to be removed from their call list.

Another scam against the elderly. How do they find the elderly? See White Pages; the site posts "65+" for everyone over age 65. Even when someone is trying to be helpful, they end up making problems for others.

Just had my turn in the barrel. Same recorded spiel - medic alert system, yada yada yada. Lots more space left on my call blocker, no problem. I'm "only" 63, but probably 20 years away from needing this crap. The really bad news for them is that I have NEVER bought ANYTHING from a call on the phone, a knock at the door, or Internet spamming, and today was also not the day for it.

No message left by caller, assume it was telephone soliciting.

I knew it was a scam and answered the call. Same as above ...  Trying to get my information for a medical alert system. They hung up on me. I called the number ... Company message staying they are trying to address this problem. Said their number is being scammed.

The message just said you medical order was ready yo ship.
I have not ordered any thing, medical or otherwise.
