"joe martin" called this office and said that it was a personal call for my boss.  Didn't want to leave any details with me.  I did not forward the call   to my boss.  Rude rude rude

"rick fitzgerald" called this office and said that he wanted to leave a message for my boss.  didn't want to leave a message.

For weeks and weeks now, someone calls at least once every day for one of our senior executives, who is never going to take this call.  This person keeps calling repeatedly and always immediately hangs up on me without saying anything, which is so immature and unprofessional.  I called the Oppenheimer Company at this 212 number to report this and tell them that it's bordering on harassment and that I want it to stop immediately.  I told them that it's giving their company a terrible reputation.  (They call senior executives at large companies trying to get their investment business.)

They called. Silence on the phone (I guess I was faster than the predictive dialer was). Hung up. Callerid said "oppenheimer" with the number.

I googled (212) 699-7700 and came up with this site. After reading the comments on this page, I immediately entered them in my "call filter list" available via my VOIP provider. Future calls to me will never get through from now on.

It was "Alex" that called here - wanted to discuss personal asset management with my boss.  Told him if it was personal to call him at home, knowing he didn't have that number.

Guy with a very fake-like stage-presence voice said his name was Harry Bronstein, calling for the owner of our company.

called for managing partner, would not leave his name.  obtained the number from caller id.

We have had a lot of telemarketing calls lately that are pretty much harrassment so when i saw this strange number on our caller id i immediately ran this number through this website and saw all these posts. The man on the phone asked to speak to the owner of our company by name and when I asked him what his name was he said it was James Fuller. I put him directly into my boss's voicemail.
If he calls back, I am going to ask them what is it in regards to, if he tries to say it's a personal matter, I think i will do what the poster "d" did. Tell him if it's personal than he can call my boss on his cell or home number. Heehee. Bunch of jerks.

Phone rang, when I picked it up and they realized it was not the boss, they hung up.

These people call at least once a day. Mike Loughlin is the name the guy uses. He even calls on his speaker phone to sound more "professional". The guys at this place are by far the pushiest, nastiest and trickiest telemarketers I have ever dealt with. They will lie to get to the person they want. Don't fall for it! In addition to the number (212-699-7700), look of the name "Oppenheimer" on the caller i.d. These guys main tactic is intimidation - don't let their loud, assertive voices fool you. I never put them through to anyone and they give up for about 2 weeks. Then another guy starts calling. I think someone's seen "Boiler Room" one too many times.

They call and asked for the President of my company by their name, I keep telling him that his is not available if they would like to leave a message and he says, no i'll try back. so I just keep letting him try back, he's not going to get thru.

a "glen glazier" called said he was with BOBCO the number 212-699-7700 and that it was personal business. Told he we were not interested

calls my job everyday asking for the president of one the other companies.  explained i don't have a number for "the president" just keeps calling.

Got a phone call from one of their advisor. I talked with him and found him to be very professional. I am debating on opening an account. The Oppenheimer name is looking very good in the investing world.

This guy continues to call my attorneys number and regardless of how many times I told him to stop calling, he continues to call!  I told him today that I asked his company to stop calling this office months ago, his response was "and what company is that?".  I laughed on the phone saying you've GOT to be kidding!!! and hung up on him!

I emailed the company at info@opco.com and referenced these harassing phone calls.  They actually replied to me asking for the phone numbers so they could remove them from the mailing list.  Hopefully this will FINALLY solve this annoying problem!

Oppenheimer is indeed a reputable firm.  I have an account with them.  Are their picks always right?  No, but they have a great research team and I am up a lot of money over the past couple of years.  It's the firms who have a single office in upstate New York or central New Jersey that you have to be careful of, as these firms can be shut down by the SEC at any moment with your money tied up in them.  Oppenheimer is a publicly traded firm and has a good reputation and like I said, I am satisfied with their service.

Got a VM from Oppenheimer tellking me that Mark Fine, his boss, wants me to call him right away.
No details.  Yeah - like that will happen when pigs fly.
These guys are sleazebags.  My policy is never to call back unless the caller is professional enough to tell me what the topic is, and how it relates to me.

Received a voicemail this afternoon (2/8/12), the message was: "[My name], please call Mark Fine Oppenheimer at (212) 699-7746." [end of message].  Needless to say, I will not call them back.  Perhaps someone needs to file a formal complaint to these guys? BBB?
