Call a number of times today, during a snow emergency, it filed with local telephone company which reported back this number.   They called for Con Edison billing, however we don't get Con Edison here.  
212 710-2912.  Call them back and they made believe we had a communication problem but I heard them clearly over the little bit of static.  They stated that they would quickly return the call.  but they DID NOT even if they call me by my firstname.  Due to Call-ID--- SCAM ALERT!!!!
After 4 times today! no answer this is what was investigated

Called today & left no message.  According to other posters for 718, this is a new number for an old scam, formerly from the 718 area code -- now calling through a VOIP number.  It's a "global touch," allright!  A touch on your wallet.

   Same # called here.... missed the call .... Oh Darn (lol)  Sounds like it's just a Telemarketing Call Center using a bogus spoofed # to scam us. They're on our $hit Li$t of blocked #'s now.

This idiot company always calls our house looking for some guy named George.  I keep telling them the same thing over and over... no one here by that name and never has.  And we keep telling them to take our number out of their system and they don't.   Block this one and they get around it....  I have put this in for the Do Not Call List and the FCC and nothing is done about it.   It's a Collections Company...

This number is linked via your local utility company.They solicit as a supplier for you to save half on your electric bill. [***]. As beware of these criminals portraying themselves from the utility company. Their "mo" is to rob your house and gather your identification. Just keep your guard up. If you get catch off guard to answer your door, ask them if they are the police/sheriff. That can be deterrent to scare em off

Called today--don't know the number--don't answer!!  I am tired of these types of calls--they just don't take a hint!!

Received a call from this number, yesterday.  They didn't leave a message.  Both my home and cell phone bock directories are full and more new numbers keep calling.  I just stopped answering any number I don't recognize.  I've even received a call, on my home phone, from my home phone number.  I called my phone service provider - they said they were aware of this problem, but they are unable to do anything about it.  If they can create a program to scramble, hide or mask an incoming call, why can't someone create a program to unscramble or reveal the actual number calling?

They call and will not accept my request to take me off their list.  They (if real) are another energy company that wish you to leave National grid or whatever major utility in your area.  There are many tiny private companies many are network marketer types that want or keep demanding to know your energy bill so they can offer a cheaper rate.  That may be fine but I have friends and family who use to do the same telemarketing with real companies am not interested.  They like to insist so much  do not waste your time with them just block them or don't answer the phone.   We even got people  coming up from out of state going door to door running similar marketing deal.  Tough out there that people are driven such lengths to try and make a buck.

Just hangs up when answer and doesn't leave a message.
