Rang as well. no message left. this company is a scam. they call themselves Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines & also call with this number 1-310-482-3971. they mention that you have won a trip and expect an immediate payment of $295 per person applied to your credit card.
Got the call and mentioned that I won a trip to Bahamas-what was amazing was that I had entered a contest for a trip but it was to Las Vegas. I also had entered in Vancouver-I can't figure out how they got my number. My spidy senses were tingling nonetheless so I am glad I did some research and found this site.
Just received a call from this number saying i won a trip. I filled out a contest form at a local show. They said i had to pay them 299 for the trip because it was a promotional offer. When i hesitated, he hung up.
This is a scam. I recieved a call explaining we filled out a ballot at a wedding show. They claimed we won a cruise to the Bahamas/Florida with the same cruise line mentioned below. The woman who at first was polite said it was $299 per person and as I kept suggesting that I was not interested, she kept dropping the price to $199, $89, $69 and then $49. She then got extreamly rude and I ended the conversation there, but not before she wanted to make a confrence call to my fiance, and got very short and snippy with her replies after I continually said no. Don't book this trip, it's 100% a scam. The number that they called from was 212 736 6919.
Don`t pick up this number, it`s a scam!!!! They`re calling to pretend that they`re a vacation cruise line, and make you pay $199 per person making it seem as though you`re getting a great deal. I was naive because I thought it would be legit because I entered at an autoshow. They said the money is refundable, but when you call them back at the customer number that they give you- they say that a specialist will call you back with the answers. But of course, nobody ever called back. Researched online, and found many compaints of fraud.
They called me and my boyfriend telling us seperately that we had each won a "free" cruise...total scam. They wanted $299 right away for it..DONT give them any money! We entered a contest at a local ski expo and they must have called everyone who entered.
About 15 minutes ago I received a call from a company named Imperial Majesty Cruises. They told me that "I was qualified" to win a great deal. Just had to pay $299.00 and give them my credit card number. Dammn! People be careful! This is a fraud! I asked the person where I can look at their regular promotions - she didn't even know how exactly their web-site address is spelled!
they called twice today. (212) 736-6919 was what displayed first time they didnt say anything the second time they asked for my husband i told them he wasnt home they hung up on me. they dont even give you long enough to ask to be removed from there calling list. i hate tellemarketers cant wait till that new no call list is set up
I entered a contest like that at a Bridal Expo. They called last week 3 times. Finally, on the 3rd time, I answered and they told me about this great trip... then they asked for my credit card number and I told them I do not give that information out over the phone. He asked me why and acted like I should trust him because he said so. I asked if there was another way to pay and he said no, not really. Yesterday, I got a call from the same number, asking for my friend (who had filled out the form trying to win a honeymoon for my fiance and I and put my #). I told him she wasn't here and he started yelling at me telling me he wanted to talk to her and asking how he can get in touch with her. I finally just hung up. They called again today and I didn't answer.
I also received a phone call from 212-736-6919. Some guy named Melvin Hipp was calling to say that I had won some sort of cruise to Bahamas from a contest I entered at an autoshow in Toronto. He said that I would have to pay $299.99US for some sort of registration fee and that if kids were brought along, it would cost us $129.99US for each kid. He just needed me to give him my credit card number to pay and that he would then proceed to send me a package in the mail with details. He also said I could contact the customer service phone number 1-800-203-9783. Luckily, I was skeptical and I told him that I would think about it, so I didn't give him my credit card number. I googled the numbers and I discovered that others had received the same call and gave their credit card numbers. These people did not receive anything in the mail and lost their money!!! Beware guys... if you guys experience anything similar... it's a fraud!!! Check out www.phonebusters.com... they say that if you have actually won a contest, you should not have to pay or purchase anything!!!
Exact same thing going on in Calgary. Con artist Melvin Hipp id# RP4346. Tele#1800 203 9783. $299 promotional fee then I get a "package" in the mail... sure sure ;) I dont even have any money to win a free trip to bahamas.. However, I'm going to give "Melvin Hipp" a reason to change his name to "Broken Hipp" real soon cuz I know where he is!
Got a call from 212-736-6919 last night at 5:30pm on my work phone. Didn't leave a message so I googled the number and here I am. I was at the Autoshow in 2007 which seems to be where this call list was generated. Can't wait for him to call back now that I know it's a scam. It will be a bad day for Melvin hehe :)
