Got a call-no message

A Indian from India accent.  She only would say united states america department only with like scratchy noise in the background.  when i demanded to talk to a supervisor or manager then she Hung the phone.

Recieved call on cell.  Left no message.

1/15/2013...Indian Male (India Accent) "Is This ___________ , ___________ "Who am I Speaking with?" (Called My Cell) He would not give name. Informs me he is with Govt, US Govt and That I Have Been Selected To Receive a $7,000.00 Grant That You Do Not Have To Payback. "Are You OK With That?" "Sounds Great" "You can understand I am a bit skeptical and would have to verify" (Repeats same pitch) "You need to understand until I verify you are "real" legitimate...I am not committing to anything" I will put my supervisor on and he will confirm (Says this twice) I say "how do I know that you are not like another company (Secret Shopper my wife got burned by for $2,000) You write $7,000 check, I deposit the check and the bank states it's fake, then they come after me for $7,000?" CLICK.   ...Waste my time, my minutes...SCAM! Don't Be Fooled! Predators Preying On Anyone In The Unsuspecting PUBLIC.

Call my cell but didn't leave message. When call back no answer.

I just got a call from this same number. Thickly accented man told me that the US Government wanted to give me $7,000 as a grant from Human Health Services. As I had not applied for any grants I asked what the grant was for. He said whatever I wanted to use it for except to use drugs or drink wine. I got a confirmation number and a Senior Account Manager's number, I'm sure they will want my bank account number... will be checking this out and almost certainly reporting a scam.

Just got the same call hubby hung up on them

Person called with an accent asking to speak to me. Said they were from the United States Gov't. I did not respond and there was complete silence. They hung up. I tried to call back but number is disconnected. Scam! Our gov't doesn't call to give away money, they take money i.e., taxes!

Indian speaking man called to tell me that I was selected by a government grant company to receive 7000 and he called from the same number 212 753 4581. I asked him where was he located he said Washington D.C. and he said I was probably wondering why was i selected and I said thats correct and he said because he sees that last year i paid my taxes on time and i was in good terms with several things so I was randomly selected because of my good standing status for a grant that I do not have to repay. When I saw a 212 number and he was stating Washington D.C. i knew he was scamming but what is scarier is that he is in the same state as I am so that is scary. However, if I receive another such call I will have to report him to the Federal Bureau of Investigations this is not only a scam but a scary harrassment and a plot to rob a person

WARNING!!! Pease don't send any money to these people they are scammers from india. Pease inform others that they are scammers.

It is January 16, 2013. I received 3 calls today from this number. They leave no message.  I call the number back and it is disconnected. I just went through my call log and see they called me twice yesterday.  I recall getting a call last month and calling back to a number that was disconnected. I did not save that number.

O.k. I went back through my phone calls. On January 7, 2013 I got a call from 202 666 7770. Called it back. Number was disconnected.

Got a call several times from the number .. so I finally picked up. An man with an oriental accent told me that he was with the US government and that through a consensus I had been selected to recieve a 7000 dollar grant that I did not need to pay back. He knew my address, and said that I must use it for educational purposes, no drugs or alcohol. Luckily I did not give him any information, but he gave me a confirmation number and a senior account manager's number as well, or something along those lines. Either way I'm sure its a scam seeing that, as I understand it, one must apply for grants. Sounds pretty fishy. Definately will be checking it out and reporting it. When I tried to call back the number was disconnected. People will do anything for money.

Individual called with an India accent and wanted to talk to my room mate who was taking a nap so I was going to give her a message or wake her up.  I asked him for information prior to waking up my roomie and he gave me the same information seven thousand dollars from the goverment etc....but was hesitant since I was not the person he called for initially.  I told him this sounded like a scam and I did not think I would wake her up for this and this fool decided he wanted to become aggressive and argue with me telling me I had no proof it was a scam and I needed to prove it was a scam.  I just hung up from the first phone fool of 2013 this year that wanted to argue on my dime this year.  Happy New Year all.  212 753 4581.

same call from this b.s.# ,but no answer when I call back.

Just received a call from this number at work, and I sent it straight to voice mail as I usually do with these BS calls. I know its a scam, but sad some people don't and get scammed :( Be alert and aware of these calls for they are 100% SCAMS! And one way or another, they will get caught up in their own sh*%*!!!!!!

I recieved a call about a grant like the rest of these folks... I called my congressman to check the legitimacy of the claim and it is a scam. The federal government does not give grants without people applying for them; furthermore I was assured that if a program such as this existed the government would never use a private company like Western Union to deliver the payment. It's a SCAM, be smart, earn your money.

Haha you all got got that offer? The same guy called. I asked who it was. He said the same think. I said it wasn't me (because I know these kinds of scam calls) and he said "then why did you ask who I was? Stop wasting my time you stupid [***]"

Was called earlier today a man greeted me and asked For me by name.  Then he began to speak a different language and I told him I only speak english then said I am buey and they repeted back to me you are busy?  In plain english.  Very strange.  Was anyone else asked for by name?

Got a call from an asian or indian saying united states gov a man and a women when i asked what it was regarding they hung up i called back and the number was disconnected i dont know what they were saying but im sure our gov would have clearly audible english speaking persons.
