They called and then hung up on me and I don't know who they are

8:37 PM on a Tuesday. As others have described, call rang three times, and never got to the 4th for my answering machine to pick it up.

My mother answered the phone after 3 rings. Before she could even say hello she got a dial tone.  This has been happening a lot lately and it needs to stop. My mother registered the # on the do not call list.

Called me on Sept. 11, 2011 at 2:05 you can imagine my thoughts, especially when I hit return call and it says the number is not in service. So what gives, who is this and what are they trying to do. Scare someone to death. I think it needs to be investigated.

Called me on 9-11-11 from a number indicating New York. I picked up and they asked (female voice) saying they were surveying American travel tendencies and would I answer a few questions.  What?

As follow up, I also tried to call the number back, as the person in the post above me did, and got a 'number not in service.  This is definitely strange!

What did you do today?  I have been researching 9-11 conspiracies online.  Did you do anything similar?

Just got a phone call from 212-754-0067 (9/12/11)...I answered it on the third ring...no one on the line???

I also got a call to my cell phone from this number. No message.

Just received at 4:41 PM Sept 12 2011 rang 3 times no answer

I got 2 calls today did not answer no message left. But I don't know anyone in new York. Crazy calls they need to stop.

I have received various calls. No name on call, no message.

I've been getting a lot of call from that number. Finally answered and it sounded like a fax machine.

Received several calls from this number last few days. I called it back and it said it was not in service.

I've received 3 calls total 9/11/11, 9/12/11, & today 9/13/11. I answer calls I dont already have saved in my phone. No messages were left either. Decided to Google the number and found this. I don't know whats going on & I refuse to answer the phone.

The machines are taking over and calling our phones.  WTF!

I got this twice in the past few days. I am in Sacramento CA. Same exact thing 3-4 rings and no answer. I redialed and the number is not in service. Weird. Gearheads I have a question: What is the purpose of this type of call??

I got a few rings from them and if you try to call them back you will know that it's not a working number. What you can probably do is call the operator and find out what is going on.

Five days in a row received two calls per day.  No messages nor have I answered the phone
