Phoned and claims to be from technical support for Microsoft and says there is malware on my computer and they told me my mailing address. Say that are getting messages from my computer.

When I asked for the company phone number to call back the man with a heavy accent told me his name is Mark Williams and I can call 209-97517123.

I received a call.Them saying it was some internet police and they were getting illegal activity from my computer.I said well,what's my name? They gave my sons name,who doesn't even live here. I said that person doesn't have a computer here.He says are you sure.? I said yeah,I think I would know.Then he hung up.I knew the scam.

Got a call from this number this afternoon,caller ID said Marie Horton. I do not know a Marie Horton...plus if no message.screw you.

People claim they are from Microsoft and I have issues with my computer.  

They are lying scammers out to steal your identity and infect your computer with malware. Microsoft does not ever initiate tech support calls and has a warning about this type of scam on their website:

Called this evening 10/17/13 I said 'hello' twice no answer then what sounded like a pre recorded voice saying 'goodbye'.............Good riddance, I say! :)

Just called and said my computer had a virus. I told them I didn't have a computer and hung up. They called back and tried again. Same deal. Hope they go to jail..

Got a call using my maiden name and wanted my personal information die to illegal internet activity.
Hung up and tried to call them back but wouldn't answer.

 Called and said my computer had issues that they were from Windows support all i needed to do was sit down at my computer they would tell what to do to fix it . I told him that i knew that it was a scam he said oh no we want to help you .I hung it up him .Hope they all go to jail .

Got a call from these folks.  ID only said phone number.  Heavy middle east accent.  I asked where he got my number he said that when we signed up for windows.  I gave it to the computer store, but never windows.  I told him I had a mac and he hung up.  If this were legit, the caller ID would show a legitimate company.

Got a call just a few minutes and the guy wanted to guide me through getting rid of a problem I am having.  I told him I am not having a problem.  He kept insisting I was.  Told him to give me the number of his superiors and he gave me a number and said they are in New Jersey.  I said good bye and will not do anything he says to do on my computer.  I hung up and have another fake number that he gave me.

Nobody but a beep on the other line.

I just received a call from a man with a heavy accent said he was from Microsoft Tech Dept. and said that my computer was showing that I was getting some malware and adv. info on my computer, and that he needed me to turn on my computer and that he could correct the problem from his computer. I told him that I would not allow anyone to access my computer from another site. I then hung up.

Ask tech support callers to identify which of the 5 computer at your location, is having their reported problem.  Then ask them to identify it by MAC or IP address.  If they say "Microsoft" you say "Linux."  This will keep then scratching their fez!  Have fun.

Showed bondhaus 48 on caller ID. Heavy accented guy gets on phone and says they were from "windows" and that my PC was sending information. Told them they were a scam and hung up.

Said he was from Windows and something was wrong with my computer. I told him I was not home to do anything about it. He wanted to know when he could call me back, so I just hung up.

People today called telling me I was having issues with my Microsoft and someone was trying to hack into my computer.  Duh, did they really think I was that stupid.  Phone number that showed up on ID was 212-777-3068
