When confronted by my answering machine, the caller from this number hung up without leaving a message

Hey Guido, was that you? You didn't leave a message......and remember when calling in the morning there's a three hour difference between NY & the west coast you JERK!

Got a call while out, no message left, but shows caller ID. When I called back, just an odd tone.

Reading other comments, I have determined this calling number is some sort of scam to see time when a phone is answered.  Upon answering, there is only "dead air" heard.

Had the same experience. Answered phone then dead air.

Same message from area code 212 that once came from Oregon. Saying that I was qualified for a discount on natural gas from the Pacific Gas and Electric Company..  It's a SCAM!!!

WARNING - noticed that for the past several days, scammer's are now 'spoofing' telephone numbers from your local area. Although 212-777-6363 calls about discount energy services, the number is registered to Samuel Weiser's Bookstore in Manhattan, NY. Since this is now clearly deceit to perform fraud, will the FTC now finally take any action? Wake-up FEDS!!

just received a call from this number as well - no message left  - won't even attempt to call back - spam calls are getting too numerous lately

received a phone call from this number. I do not know what is this? some kind of scam? same pranks trying to do anything they can to get our info.

I received a call from this number stating the person calling is from Utility Savings Center and I could save money on my utility bill.

Got the same call, ran a search and it is a number for some bookstore, never left a message. I'm gettin tired of this [***], I get about ten [***] calls a day, this AFTER I changed my number.
