constant calls from a man who sounds like he is from Pakistan or india  or is good with making up accents. he says to turn on my computer  it is broken. he will help me fix the problem.   to make a long story short I tell him he is a scam artist and I have no computer. he says disgusting things and when I asked him why he keeps calling me. he said, " I just want to _uck  with you.

I received a call from this number today. Guy said he was from the technical department in Santa Monica, CA. I said then why does caller ID show you are calling from New York. He said they have a branch in New York. Said I have a virus on my computer and I told him was not possible because I use a computer not susceptible to virus. He started talking and I told him he was a scammer and hung up.

was the call coming from 212-789-4565? I've been getting an average of 6 to 8 calls a month from him. he is now using vile language. he always asks if my computer is on and I tell him no. he said to put it on so he could show me that I am not protected. I told him I don't have a computer, he said,"you have f----king computer. he said he is from windows  and I ask what windows. he said all the windows. I called him a liar and said windows does not call anyone about their computers. I play with him now until he gets steamed and hangs up or I blow my whistle. I once asked him how many windows does his company handle and he said all of them. I said to him. wow you and your wife must be washing a lot of windows. I ask him why he keeps calling me and he tells me. I want to f--k with you. I tell him to take a minute from his washing all the windows and it will only take a few seconds to do his wife. hey, he calls me to scam and harass me. so I now harass him when he calls. he has an east indian or Pakistan accent.

I've been getting 3 calls a day from this number. I've been enjoying myself messing around with THEIR heads - one time answering "FBI Field Office - may I direct your call to an FBI agent?". Another time I said "This call is being monitored by the FBI in conjunction with Interpol, to gather information on telephone scams. Your local police have been contacted and will be on their way to you shortly". Another, when he said he was from Windows, I said, you must have REALLY long sticks to reach all the way here from INDIA to clean my windows!" The Hindi-accented guys start stammering in confusion when I say these things.

next time, when 212-789-4565 calls, I can see the # on my t.v. I will answer with, CITY MORGUE< YOU STAB EM WE SLAB EM.

I told him  Eddie  he now calls himself, that the F.B.I was monitoring my phone and they will get you sooner or later and hung up. I guess he is not afraid of being caught for some reason.  he still calls.

I have received numerous unwanted calls from this Asian accented person at 212-789-4565.  I know there are no viruses on my computer like this guys says.  I ask him the name of his company.  He says Windows, Technical Department.  Where from?  Santa Monica, CA.  I ask him what county is Santa Monica in in California?  Hold on I'll have to get my supervisor on the phone.  Then I'm disconnected. I know he is not calling from CA because area code 212 is NY.  Anyway, because I don't give them the time of day they just ring my phone every so often.  

I kept these guys on the line for 9 full minutes. He gave up when I told him to wait while I inserted my 5 1/4 boot disk into the drive on my Apple 2e.

he said "you are using macintosh?" I said, "NO. BEFORE MACINTOSH. Apple 2 E!!!" and he hung up

This company has called 5 times in the last 12 hours.  We have told them to stop calling and then they call back.  I have told them I will call the FBI if they don't stop.  They say they are from Microsoft and something is wrong with your computer... there is nothing wrong they are trying to get passwords and access to the computer.

Same as others have posted, 212-789-4565 phone #. First time he called identifying himself from Microsoft. I knew immediately what he was trying to do, I asked him a question and he hung up. About 45 mins later dumb [***] calls again. This time I thought I'd waste a bit of his time since I was goofing off on my computer anyway ;)  

He started with letting me know how "they" had sent numerous warning message that my computer was infected and insisting I needed to let him fix it (still makes me giggle). I let him talk and he wanted me to bring up Run, type in eventvwr, etc (I knew it was because they wanted to kill my firewall). I decided to play dumb and ask him if they sent me so many messages, why wouldn't I have seen them? He started yelling the commands he wanted me to do. I asked if he could hear me, he finally pauses and said yes. I repeat the question and he starts yelling in the phone "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MAAM ARE YOU TRYING TO KID WITH ME?". Pretty entertaining stuff since his English became significantly better when he was mad LOL  Anyway, I went ahead and told him yes, I know what he's trying to do and he just got schooled and he slammed the phone down. A couple minutes later he called back to tell me to go "[***] yourself in your own [***]" so I politely asked him to show me how. He hung up again ;-)

Received a call from this number this morning, heavily accented man claiming to be from Windows Tech Support.  Had an identical call yesterday, but caller ID said "Dallas, TX," wanting me to spend $159.99 for 1 year of technical support.

They've been calling me a couple of times a day for the last several days, can't even really understand him and I just hang up. Scum like this should be executed. And no, I'm not joking. People like this are the lowest form of parasite and should be removed from society...

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS CALLER 212-789-4565 AND 212-789-4564.  Has called 4 times in the last two days. States computer virus and I just talk over him and then hang up.  Does it do no good to be on a no call list?

The DNC only keeps the honest business's honest. Your callers for the most part are coming from India, some Pakistan and yes, some are in the US. The phone numbers are spoofed though.  
This is a scam operation, the whole microsoft thing is pretty well known now, been all over in the news and right on Microsoft's page as well.  Never allow a cold caller like this to mislead you into allowing access to your computer remotly, there is no telling what can happen, but mostly it is for the money!

They are located in India or Pakistan.  They are basically criminals.  Criminals ignore the do not call list.  Best thing to do is simply not answer calls you do not recognize.

These folks call 2-4 times a day, and have been for about 3 weeks. Same number, also caller ID shows "NY." Having read all these posts, I'm really glad I screen calls at home. I never pick up. They generally don't leave a message apart from a computer Siri thing saying, "Goodbye" to my answering machine after some time of silence.  One time, a guy left a message in a foreign language. I don't think he realized our answering machine had picked up.

same story as all the others repeated calls, no clue, i told them i run linux he said my windows are reporting errors i said i have no windows he says it is reporting errors so i have windows.

I have had three calls today, the first time I told him that I was busy burying a body and i was covered in blood so could not talk. The second time I hung up, the third time I told him he was a scammer, he just kept talking over me. I then hung up and called the number which turned out to be non existent. I like the FBI answer but I guess it doesn't scare him because he is out of their reach.

It is a scam.  The do not call list is for legitimate businesses. They are out of country and we will likely never be able to do anything about them except have their number blocked.  But then again, they will just spoof a different number and we start the dance again.

I liked the comment above. Tell them you have an Apple IIe (2 e) and it will take you a minute to find your boot disk - or just keep them occupied. See who can keep them on the phone the longest.

If what they are doing weren't so awful, this would be comical.
I kept them on the line for 12 minutes! I imagine they will call back.  I got to speak with a "manager" named "Christian"
he gave me a phone number of 424 821 4266.  But the way he gave me the digits, I don't think he knows how long a US phone number is.
