got a call from unknown person who knew my previous job place whether I am looking for a job.
Then asked me where I was working and what's my salary.
When I asked who was calling and what company he represented he didn't want to tell it to me.
But kept asking few times how much was my salary until I asked him again who was calling.
Didn't answer and finished the call telling me he need something to do.

Very suspicious.

Got a similar call. GTechNY it's a staffing company for NYC IT.

Asking for two parties who were not in my directories. I checked three times for him & advised he had the wrong #. he refused to accept this and insisted I was lying to him, admitting that they had hung up on him.  So 'while he had me on the phone' he attempts phishing for -our- company's contacts via job titles instead. I had to repeat as many times he was now asked to remove the phone number he dialed from his data base.

Wow! If this is a recruiting firm my company definitely would not use their services.

Woman wanted to speak with the person in charge of IT personnel.  I asked if she were introducing her company, but she said No and repeated her question.  I replied that my directories were by name only, not title or department, and she hung up.
