I appreciate all you folk above for sharing your experience. I will be sure not to pick up if they call again. - Joseph| 2 repliesThese idiots keep calling me because of the Proctor & Gamble stockholders meeting. P & G has for over 100 years been a pillar in the consumer products business, but now their practices lower them to the cellar with most other big businesses of America. I have asked this company to stop calling me now 3 times, and yet I continue to get calls from them. Now I will file an official complaint with the state's Attorney General's office for telephone harassment. This is another form of low-life that seems to have invaded our society in recent times!
- Caller: McKensie
- Thanks, All!Thanks everyone for your reports. I actually am a P&G stockholder, come to think of it.
Perhaps some people who think they aren't might owns shares through a retirement fund or pension fund through their jobs?- Caller: Mackenzie Partners
- Mom| 2 repliesI rec'd call yesterday. Not home no msg. left. However, since Proctor & Gamble was mentioned, this could be legit call if you own Proctor & Gamble stock. Trian is trying to get a member on the board of Proctor & Gamble like they did with DuPont. You will also be receiving numerous proxies to vote. If you own the stock the one you want to make sure you vote is the blue one from Proctor & Gamble. White one is from Trian. If you have voted the white one you can cancel it if you don't want a Trian member on the board by voting the blue one. I'm sure this will be going on until the meeting in October I think so be prepared!
- Caller: Not sure
- LS replies to JosephThe Trian Group is trying to take over P&G, and P&G is fighting it. I've received numerous proxy vote ballots from both companies. Per notes from P&G, only the last proxy you send in (or enter online) is valid. So if you're for the take-over, vote for Nelson Peltz who is trying to get on the board. If you're happy with the way P&G is run now, vote for all the current directors. All that being said, I reached my decision long before the new candidate started making these phone calls, so I've blocked the numbers (there are at least two they're using).
- LSAutomated call about the upcoming P&G meeting. I've posted one note about it, and "Mom" posted more good information. Make your decision, vote, and ignore these automated calls.
- Caller: OUT OF AREA (per Caller ID)
- Carolyn replies to MomThanks, i called back weeks ago and got a real Trion doubletalker. I hung up on him.
