Just got a call, says disconnected when you call it back... ?????

I got a call from this # but they didn't leave a message.  Caller ID said "Kane, S"

Same here,  Showed up on my caller ID at 1:00 pm yesterday.  Caller ID says "Kane, S", and there was no message.  I also tried to call it back and got the recording saying that the number was disconnected, which tells me that it's either a scam or a telemarketer who KNOWS that they're violating the Do Not Call Registry.because they're obviously hiding the real number that they're calling from and at the same time bypassing phones and/or phone services that have the capability to block anonymous calls.  Unfortunately, reporting the number to the FTC for violating the DNC Registry will do no good because the number is fake, but I'm going to report it anyway.  In the meantime, if they call again when I happen to be at home, I will definitely answer and try to find out who they are and why they're calling before I tell them off.

This number keeps calling. Never answers. Just nothing on other end. Sick of it! I just don't answer now.

Yes they called me about 10 min ago, but CID said New York, NY...I told them to stop calling, and it was about lowering my cc rate, and I also told them I already put my name on a do not call list of theirs, and if they dont stop I would be calling the police! These calls drive me nuts!!! And I did call back, and it said the number was disconnected!

I've been getting calls from these people for months.  Today I led the guy on and kept him on the phone for about 5 minutes then hung up.  He called back. (from 1-800-312-2236)  I hung up again.  He called back again and I told him that I'm sick of getting calls from scammers.  He threatened to keep calling me back and called me an a**hole.  I told him to keep talking...that I could stay on the phone with him all day and maybe that would keep him from calling others and scamming them.  He told me to stick my phone up my a**.  So I said " yea that's it...talk dirty to me...I luv it...I can do this with you all day!"  He screamed additional obscenities at me an eventually hung up.  He hasn't called back.

I say mess with these guys and psych them out.  Maybe they will give up.

Got another call from these people and told him to take me off this F--king  calling list and I hung up.
This is about the 12th. time they called me this week.

Called a business number after hours last nigh have been for months. Never leaves a message & the number is also on the DNC list what good that does. So tired of all the BS calls don't have time for them during business hours let alone come in the next morning & have to deal with these idiots.

got the same call @ 8:30 am in nevada.  when I called it back a recording says this number has been disconnected.

Just got this call. Thanks I'll just ignore it from now on!

I got a call from this number and they asked for my ssn and credit card numbers so that they can reduce my interest rate. Once I gave them the information they disconnected the call. I am worried now.

Why on earth would you be stupid enough to give someone your ssn and credit card number over the phone.

now that i no this is a scam and they want answer when i call so i texted them back and said if u keep call n me im gone get the feds on ya tales i am on the DNC NOW KEEP CALL N ME.

Phone showed call missed.  When the number was called back received a message saying number has been disconnected.  There has to be a way to catch these people.

Call your credit card company & cancel that card number. Ask the Credit Card company if any charges have incurred. Alert the 3 major credit reporting agencies

Just a head's up...if you're a verizon customer, you can block up to 5 numbers for free (not sure if other companies offer this). You can add blocks through your online account or by caling customer service. Once you block it, anytime they call they hear a nice message informing them they have been blocked. It's great. The block stays on for 90 days & usually by then, they give up or have taking you off their call list. I use this all the time to avoid the idiots who manage to get around the DNC registry.

You can block on Verizon but they just get another number, I get 5 - 6 a day and do not call registry does not help
