they showed up on my caller id as "unknown name."  I did not answer, and no message was left.

Caller ID said CALIFORNIA. When I answered, no one responded and the line disconnected shortly after.

same here... Caller ID "California Call". Let it go to voice mail, no message left. Probably tele-spam.

Telemarketer identified themselves as SpecialiTy travel.  One of the largest travel agencies (according to them) in florida.  I was told that I had an unused $2000 credit for a VIP vacation remaining on my account (???) with tickets for 2 to any of the theme parks. She said that for "only" $139, they would "extend" the term of the vacation so I could use it next year.  I asked her if she would just mail me the check for the $2000 and we would call it even.  They eventually hung up.  Can you spell S-C-A-M.

not much point being on the do not call list, is there.

no response when i answered the phone

I got a call from this number I answered it and said who's calling nobody answered then I said hello who's calling and nobody said anything there was no noise on the other side of the line. Then they hung up I don't know who they are.
