I just a call from this number. The caller told me my computer was sending out error messages and was infected. He offered to show me how, but I declined. He said the company's name is ComputerCare. Anyone know anything about this company?

I gave the wrong company name in my previous post. It should have been WindowsCare, not ComputerCare.

Caller claimed to be Steve from Microsoft.
Warned that "Your window7 application port of the computer management system on IP address 192.13.3.4 (then later 192.13.9.1) [in the range of local-net/un-broadcast] is messaging me as being infected."
Wanted us to turn on our machine and download their trojan-loader claimed "Virus Cleaner".

I got a call tonight from Window's Care too, same MO....virus, etc.  They took control of my mouse and computer and put up all these bogus screens and graphics showing viruses, errors, etc.  Plus the heavily accented Middle Eastern man was very hard to understand. I googled the phone number, 213-221-3528, he gave me and read all of the other comments and called the real Microsoft who told me how to shut down the computer.  So people......BEWARE!!!  JUST HANG UP ON THEM

My call was from "Harry" at Windows Care at 10:00 at night on May 17.  He told me "they" had been receiving messages that my operating system was about to crash.   Middle eastern accent and backround sounds of a call center.   I asked for a phone number so that I could call back and verify and was given the same number 213 221-3528.  I did NOT call back.

My computer really isn't working right now.  My children unfortunately are constantly downloading games, etc.  did they download a virus onto my computer?  How did they know my computer was not working?  And how do i fix it?  I can no longer connect to the interent on my main computer.  But my internet service is working and my lap top works just fine.

I received the same call, supposedly from Windows,  telling me my computer had some serious viruses and was interupting and corrupting the Windows server.  He wanted me to go to my computer and he would help me fix it....I didn't do this, but ask him to give me a # to call back, after I did some research on this problem.  Thus, the number I got from above.  How are they getting our telephone number?  Facebook? Verizon?  Random dialing?

Just got this call too, and for some reason "Suzanne" actually gave me the #, 213-221-3528. I let her go on for a while, since these people get paid by the # of calls they complete. I Googled the phone # & got this page. I then told her that I'd be calling the NYS Attorney general's office & reporting her as a scammer! And she stayed on the line and kept asking me if I saw the Start Menu! I then asked her if she'd like to go to jail. Long pause. Then she asked me if I needed help finding the Start menu!!!
She absolutely would not stop talking & asking me to go to the Start menu! I finally admitted that I have nothing but Macintosh computers in the house. That got a response, she hung up!

I just got this call, from Microsoft support.  Heavy Indian accent, first a woman, whom I couldn't understand very well, then the supervisor "Alex Brown."  With both, lots of background noise, sounded like children, like a home and they were sometimes talking to someone else in the background.  He led me through my computer to see error messages or warning signs and said my computer was filled with malware and had been downloading programs and viruses to get my information.  He said my Windows support had expired and my antivirus program was unable to scan properly (although I had completed a scan yesterday).  He said I would have one year support, they would clean my computer, etc. for $80/130.  I asked for a phone number and got this one.

Today I received the same call saying the microsoft server was being corrupted by my computer. They were very hard to understand and they had me go to my computer and go to my computer and look for errors or alerts. I asked for a call back # and was told to ask for Henry at 213-221-3528. I called the # and it was busy but then Henry called me back again and started down the same road with my computer creating problems on the windows server but they could fix this for $80 - $130 and what type of credit card would I be using. By then I had googled the # and discovered the scam so hung up. They kept calling back and asked me what type of anti virus software I was using. Told him the 911 Anti virus and the police would be calling them soon. Then they hung up

I was given this # to call if I have any trouble with my computer after these guys called me up with their heavy hard to understand indian accent on July 5 and told me they were from my internet service provider window and that my computer was infected with malicious malware.  I was dumb enough to let them access my computer where they did an amazing job of convincing me my computer was on the verge of being corrupted beyond repair....but they could fix it. They spent 4 hrs on my laptop. They even talked me into charging $490 on my credit card for "Lifetime service." I asked if they had an 800 # for their customers...they asked what an 800# is. Finally the light dawned in my dim brain. I am in the process of contesting the charge with my credit card co. Sick Sick People. They even typed out for me an email for me to sign saying "I have done a payment of $490 to the windows care through nias business solutions. Regards.   " They sent it to support@windowscare.com" and a copy to support@niasbusinesssolutions.com". I looked up nias business solutions after the fact, and their is a whole webpage like this one devoted to their fraud schemes. I am so mad at myself.

I also just got the call about our computer, Same as the rest of you asking me to give out some info, I asked if I could call them back in a few hours.2132213526 This time her name was Jenny , Odd name for a person with such a poor english an form Cali. what a pain and a joke these people are.

Finally I got landed up being scammed similarly and my computer is being hacked by them several times.

I called the card company and asked them to get my payment reversed which they immediately did. Thanks to the card authorities for being so helpful and genuine. Actually they already knew that I was being scammed and blocked the payment once. But I was told by the scammer to call them and authorize the payment (my foolishness).

Now I again called and reversed  the payment back to my account.
Glad to receive my money and hope you also get it back.

i just got a call from blocked number that wanted me to go to my computer.  I refused to give him any information or to do anything unless I called microsoft first. He said he did not not work for Microsoft; he worked for windows care. He finally hung up.

AFTER I REFUSED TO TAKE SERVICE FROM THEM, THEIR SENIOR SUPERVISOR, MR. NEIL SAID [***] OFF.
such a stupid company.
i insist anyone who has paid to them, should ask for a refund or contact their card company and cancel the transaction. if the card company says the money has been already charged, then you can dispute the transaction to get back your money. (best thing to say to the card company is this " I WANT TO HIT  A HARD CHARGEBACK " and immediately you will get your money back).
