I recieved a call from Don? who left a message on my work phone that said there was a federal case against me and that it was time sensitive and that I needed to call him back ASAP. He asked to confirm the last 4 digits of my social security number so that he could give me the information on the case. I couldn't understand most of the conversation i had to keep asking him to repeat him self. he also said that i needed an attorney. He said he was from a Law firm, I couldn't understant the name.

These guys are scammers. I have recieved about 3 of these same types of phone calls at work! I work for an attorney and asked them what I should do. They said to file a report with the Attorney General's office. I also spoke with someone about this from the Attorney General's office and they said that they are doing their best to try and catch these guys but it's really hard.

I didn't answer the phone call, although they left a message, where they told me to have my attorney call him at this direct line, I didn't bother to call back, decided to google it first. Since I've had other number troubles before.

I received a call from someone at 213-232-5902 today on my cell phone.  The person leaving the message barely spoke English and I could barely understand anything they were saying - I had to play it twice to get the number.  The background noise was very loud, like they were in a room with other people leaving similar messages.  I have no clue who these people are or what company they represent but they sound shady and I will be contacting the state attorney general regarding the call.

I received 21 calls today from a disconnected local cell phone number, 918-879-0020, from a man named "Nash" who stated he was the attorney for SonicCash.net, stating that he had my social security number [I asked him to give me that number, which he did] and my banking information [which was thankfully wrong] stating that I owed them $7000 dollars. I received the phone number 213-232-5902 from him. It's a scam, similar to the Nigerian/Maltese bank fraud scams. It's interesting, though, because I asked to speak to the owning attorney, and the same guy came back on the line stating he was "Tim". I reported them to the FTC. He also kept stating that I was "Mister" so-and-so. I'm a chick, with a semi-high-pitched female voice. Idiots.

Simon Jones called me 3x yesterday here at my office and almost got me fired! He told me that he was working with the local law enforcement agency and that they where coming to get me for FRAUD...He told my boss that I had til 11 am today to call however when I did call the number was busy. The 1st time he called me he gave all my info and said that I never paid for a loan and that I owe 1200.00.  He also wanted me to give him a credit card number so that this would all go away!! I would not give him that info. There was alot of noise in the back ground and I could never understand fully what he was telling me.. How can we make them go away?

I also received a phone call from these punks.  This is the second set of calls I received from them.  the first time it scared the crap out of me.  I reported them to the attorney general but they couldn't do anything about it without an address.  YOu can get an address if you go to the reverse directory but you have to pay.  Right now I don't have the money to pay.  the last number they called me from was 213 232 5902. When he called with his thick accent again I laughed at him and hung up. It's always busy now but the last number 818 451 4680 won't go through.  I don't call back on my cell.  I think they got the number when I stupidly entered my number on an application over the internet.  I will NEVER do that again!

Been called three times in two days at work by man with a strong accent named "Jimmy". Been asked to verify bank account, SSN, e-mail account, etc. and needed to speak to me or my attorney in fact.  He was very upset when I told him I could not understand him due his accent and background noise on his side, then insisted that I listen to his entire statement.  I was told I owed $5484.87 in unpaid cash advances and would be picked up by authorities for non-payment.  In order to help get these people off the street I was told by the Attorney Generals Office that they couldn't do anything unless actual money was removed from my account (but they are mailing me a packet of material on ID theft and how to protect my credit).  Also, I was told by the LAPD Consumer Theft Division, since I do have any owed debt, that I needed to contact all of my creditors in order see if my accounts have been sold to outside collections, and if they have, then I needed to pay my debt.  It was nice that a law abiding citizen wants to aid in stopping fraud and phone harassment for himself and others and was told to "pay my debts".  Good luck to everyone out there!

This is my second set of phone calls from this type of scam.  The first set came for about 5 days straight right before Christmas.  Those came up as "Unknown" on my cell's caller id.  This time the caller id says 98232.  I don't answer it and the message is always exactly the same - middle eastern accent reading a script and giving me an obviously fake American sounding name.  Wants me or my attorney of record to call back, it's "time-sensitive," and if he doesn't hear from me all he can do is wish me luck.  The first time, it just stopped.  This time, they are actually addressing the message to my son, who is ONE!  (Maybe I should hire him an attorney to handle all these debts he's racked up in his first year of life. :p)  I would like to know how these scam artists got his name and my number.  It's really upsetting and the calls are annoying the life out of me!  I haven't called back but am considering answering next time they call just so I can give them a piece of my mind!

I received a call from the number 941-961-8518.  It was Officer Roger Brian (foreign accent, hard to understand with background noise) from American Credit Services.  He stated I took out a cash advance in October of 2007 over the Internet.  I never did this.  He asked me to verify my info and I refused.  He got very belligerent with me and informed me I am a "bad" person who doesn't deserve a life to live.  I should quit my job because by the time he is done with me I won't have one and that his commanding officer is coming to get me tomorrow.  I should fear for my life at this point because I have destroyed it by not paying back money I owed.  I don't know what to make of them.  I called my bank and I won't be able to have my records for the month in question until Monday.  I don't appreciate being spoken to that way no matter what the situation.  I did email the Ohio Attorney General for their advise.  I will post what I get for a response.

Caller (sounded Indian-could barely understand him) claimed that I owed money for a payday loan that I knew I didn't have and that there was a court case at 11:00 in the morning. He also said that authorities would be picking me up tomorrow with an affadavit in hand to escort me to court. I had not heard of this scam so it kind of freaked me out. Thankfully, my husband knew and that caused me to look it up.

I have been receiving calls from these people since December.  They always call me at work and I have told them several times not to call me at work.  I have also asked them to send me information on what they say I owe and they refuse.  They have told me there will be cops coming to arrest him.  They have harrassed me, the receptionist where I work and my boss.  They always ask me to verify the last 4 didgits of my social security number, my e-mail address and the bank name where I have my checking account.  I am in the process right now of trying to track theses people down, so far I have come up with that they are from Los Angeles California and I am working with the Police here in Loogootee, Indiana and an attorney to try to get these guys.  It is very scary that they can find out so much information on someone.

This a fraud company operated from Pune, Maharashtra, India.. The people here are completely ignorant of this fact. The employees themselves dont know that they r in such a mess.. I came 4m America just 2 research on this. I was not able 2 find out how they get the information but watever they tell u about the attorney and related stff is a fake.. nothing is going to happen to u.. The number cannot be traced because it is routed through an American no. and the number supposedly changes every week. The money that is taken out 4m some innocent people is processed and goes into the pockets of the related management.
Due to these complaints they have changed their name 2 AMERICAN CREDIT SERVICES. THIS IS THE SAME FIRM.
I plead everyone not to give any CREDIT or DEBIT or PREPAID DETAILS. If they say they are an Attorney ask for their Bar no. If not given deny by saying dat until u get a Hard copy u wont be paying Anything. If they say they will provide the Hard copy thru Investigators to your Employer, do not fall for it, nothing will happen to Any one.
IF THIS MESSAGE IS REPLIED WITH THE E-MAIL ADDRESS, I AM READY TO PROVIDE THE EXACT ADDRESS AND RELATED LOCAL PHONE NUMBERS.
