- steve| 2 repliesWho is this ??
- MicheleI get a call almost everyday and more then once. They saw something about my computer having warning messages (NOT) and when I ask them to stop calling they don't. The caller ID is the number 1 and that's it.

- Yoralie| 2 repliesI had a call from this number and answered it. The man at the other end asked for my name. I replied by asking him what company he was working for and he did not reply. The sound was very bad, I had lots of difficulties understanding what he was saying. Again, I asked him the name of the company he was working for and he hung up. In fact, the matter is that I very recently purchased a domain name (2 days ago) and since then, I've been receiving calls, at least half a dozen, different numbers, people who want to sell me services. Very annoying...

- FedUpThis is a scam. I reported to www.donotcall.gov I got 20 calls in the last week. Told them all to stop calling. Last two I asked their name and they both said Ryan. I confirmed they are calling from India. One said company name = Ivan. The other said company name = Spone. Please report them to the donotcall.gov list.
- Caller: Ivan

- Carrie replies to YoralieThe same thing has been happening to me. I just don't answer and then I look up the phone number on google and come across comments like this that are a big help (Thank you!) I also turned these crazy calls into a game. for every telemarketer that I do not answer, I do 10 pushups. yesterday I did 70 :)
- Rose| 2 repliesAs another poster stated, this is due to purchasing a domain name, hosting, etc. online. Our purchase was from godaddy.com
- steph replies to RoseFunny enough, I even got one of those "cold calls" from GODADDY just a day or two after I purchased my domain... So the very first thing I put online (even tho that website was nowhere near to be complete and online) in big bold letters "I DO NOT NEED HELP WITH MY WEBSITE, STOP CALLING ME" - helped to reduce the number of callers from 20/day to 2/day and it stopped altogether after about 7 days
- NJMark| 2 repliesBuy a domain, get lots of calls from India. Someone should stop the release of information for newly registered domains, this is a major flaw in the domain registration control system.
- Chris replies to NJMarkYou can make your information private so that it doesn't show up in a domain whois search. It is cheap to do and saves you from a lot of unwanted calls.
- KyliI also purchased several domains and have had an overwhelming number of calls, texts, and emails since then. This number is one of them, but I did not answer it.
- TerryApparently GoDaddy sells your information to a ton of people unless you pay htem the yearly extortion fee to keep your information private. This is a complete scam and the government should throw everyone at GoDaddy in jail. There is zero cost to make it private. You used to have to pay to have something published. GoDaddy sells your info to all these scumbags in India who have no talent and no manners.
- Caller: GoDaddy domain related
- Doug replies to NJMarkYou can choose the domain privacy option when purchasing a domain and your information is not released.
- MattSame problem with multiple calls. I too have purchased a couple of domains. Total scam and waste of time as the people on the other end don’t know how to communicate. They tell me to go [***] myself and that I’m stupid. Very clever!

- Rick Emmerich replies to RoseYep, me too. May not be a scam. There are plenty of companies that do good work promoting websites, etc. It is just not what I want, and yes the calls are annoying as h__l. I do not answer them. Yes-same number.
- JaeNot sure which domain company sells the information as I registered with godaddy and hostgator. I think it's their way to force us to pay a yearly fee to keep our privacy. That is not right. I have been getting emails, phone calls, text messages every day. What can we do to stop this? this is very annoy!!
- JohnI registered a couple of domain names at GoDaddy. I am bombarded with calls from Indians now. This number calls me around 10 times a day for the past week.I went back to my domain registration info and changed my phone number to a couple of spammers who've been calling me. Let them call each other!

- 2132617490They called (9) times in ten minutes. After I answered the first time and requested that my number be removed and to not call again the guy on the phone began to yell at me so I hung up. He called (8) more times to which he began yelling immediately after I answered. The ninth time I had my grown son answer and he requested a name and company to which the guy would not give either. I finally blocked the number on my cell phone and received an additional (4) calls.

- Lsilk replies to steveI had the same thing... purchased new domain and got multiple calls from this number. Finally I answered and told the to stop calling or I would have to post a bad review on their business. The guy I was talking to actually said he was going to do the same for my new website.
