I got call from 213-283-7078.
The caller called himself Jimmy Arthur from IRS.
He tried to collect $5,800 as a fee for miscalculated TAX for the period of time between 2008-2014.
He also talked to my mom and was forcing her to pay off the debt in 48 hours.
He knows my home address, my name and home phone number. He tried to solicit as much of my personal information as possible.

There is a fairly common IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

i received a voicemail from this number.  i was "approved" for  loan ranging from $500- $15,000 with  3% interest rate.  Really????????

Yes,  they are wonderful peoples and saved me from my issues by giving me a government grant for 10,000 usd and settled my issues with the IRS.   They helped me by reminding me of all of the pay day loan debts that I owed for 10 years and  forgot about.  Then they arranged for a computer specialist from Microsoft to seize control of my computer and resolve my virus issues.    Thanks IRS repr. for helping me with my issues.....

I have been calls from this number 213-283-7078
Every day and night for one month now.  I never take the calls I placed a block call on  my phone for this number hopefully one day they will just give up!

They call you and leave a very intimidating message impersonating an IRS agent, they say they call from the Investigation Department and they keep on calling until you answer then they threat you with a law suit, criminal charges, they read a false affidavit and they say that you will be arrested and your accounts freeze and properties confiscated... If you follow the SCAM they want you to pay cash $1,508 but the amount varies, in the next 2 hours and they send you to buy debit cards or pay pal vouchers in the stores and when you have those, you should call another number 213-283-7078, which another guy pick up and he ask you for the numbers in order to cash your debit card or paypal and steal your money...If you block the number they email you with a fake letter from an email: irs.taxauditdept@gmail.com (THE IRS WOULD NEVER USE A GMAIL EMAIL ADDRESS)
They want to keep you on the line so you don't have time to call someone else or look up on line, they are the worst most pathetic people that do this every day for a living and unfortunately some people actually falls for it, if not they wouldn't continue.
THE IRS DOESN'T CALL PEOPLE, THEY SEND YOU LETTERS ON THE MAIL, NOT E-MAILS

Hopefully the more information they get they can use it to find them and persecute them for this crime.

Called twice in one day.  Second time there was a Robo message to "contact Officer david walker.  The hotline to his division is 213-283-7078. you call 9 am to 7pm eastern standard time. Don't try to disregard this message. Please return this call as soon as possible. You have nice day."
Call is showing as from Las Angeles Area, I live on the west coast, yet they mention eastern standard time.  The ending with "You have nice day" is also a huge red flag
