Calls cell phone and has called also office phone.  David Smith called and said info is time sensitive. Needs to hear from my attorney cuz I owe them money he states.  I owe them nothing. This is a scam.

Called my cell phone and work number. Said his name was Michael Clark, he is an attorney and it is very urgent I respond. Time sensitive, etc. When I called back a different person answered and stated I was going to be arrested the next day because of money I owe on a loan.  I never took out a loan from who they stated they were representing, I hung up before they could go any further.

This number called me and I think this it is a scam and what sounds to be an Indian guy reading a script I am pretty damn sure this is a scam.

Got a voicemail from this number. Its a Indian guy on mine as well and pretty much tells me its time sensitive, have my attorney call back, and so on. I tried calling back but couldn't get anyone to pick up. First off, even if this was a legitimate debt collector, they are not allowed to use any scare tactics ESPECIALLY with untrue threats of jail. I have been getting all kinds of weird calls on my cell as of late. Most of them have been payday loan offers or work from home offers. I'm guessing this probably falls into that somewhere. Have anyone of you had any other calls like that?

I got a call from an indian guy saying his name is daniel johnson.  He started to threaten me so I h/u then later he called me again 3 times.

213-283-8557 is a leased number through Pacific bell out of Los Angela's leased to ymax communications corparation which is a voip provider so its probably a Guy calling from India most definately a scam

Got a call from Chris Jones saying it was time sensative and I called back and an Indian woman answered and I informed her that I had filed a police report on them she quickly hung up on me. I have repeatedly called back and it goes to voicemail and cannot accept any more messages.

same thing, guy called my husband a min ago and threatened him with legal action.  my husband hung up and called me to google this number.....michael carter is the name he gave and he was forgein for sure.......what else should i do?....how do we stop these ppl?

says a case has been filed against my social security number.  can barely understand what the man says.  very persistant.  calls my cell then my work number over and over

I have been getting these calls all day on Sunday 4-1-2012 with time senistive matererials for my lawyer. These calls continued until 845 my time. Stating I laundered money and that I took loans out and did not repay them, this was the message left on my cell voice mail. Along with being arrested. But when you call them back this number cannot take any more messages. I have no payday loans, and DO NOT HAVE DIRECT DEPOSIT THAT YOU MUST HAVE FOR PAYDAY LOANS. I did find out this morning that you must call the federal trade commission in your area to give them this information so that they can add these numbers to there world wide search of these foreiners.

This guy is making his rounds. I got the same message from the same number. On Friday and Saturday it was a different number different guy (Know & Stone Atty) stating the same message. I informed the NC Atty Generals Office. I answered the next call and informed the caller I was aware that this was a Scam Call and reported to the Atty Gen. He got mad had his "supervisor" call. Which I then told him he needed to "google his self" and see that they were scammers and to not call this number again. Today the 213-283-8557 caller called and stated it was Michael Clark. Ugh.. This is ridiculous!!

Same thing here. Received a message from them stating that it's time sensitive and me or my attorney need to call back the second I received the message. I called back and received voicemail and the mailbox was full.

Won't stop calling. Nine missed calls in ten minutes. Keeps going to full mailbox when I call back

I received a call from these people multiple times this morning. Left a voicemail saying his name was Daniel Johnson. I called back and a woman answered and I told her I had answered 3 calls from that number but no one ever spoke. She asked for my name and I asked her who she was. Never gave my name. She then informed me that "it doesn't matter who she is" and I told her she was not getting my name until I knew who she was...she then hung up. I've tried calling back numerous times hut always get a voicemail box that's full. Scam artists. Ugh!

Hi, I have received calls from this number and googled them also to see this is a scam. How are these people getting our information is the question. They not only have our cell and address and socials. Has anyone recieved the calls after signing up for a start your own business or website company? Reason I asked, cause thats when I started getting unusual catalogs and these calls from this number. It can help put the pieces together. Oh, also I have a voicemail from them if it can help anyone.

I have been harassed by the same people calling from this #!  Saying this is a time sensitive situation-and the police are going to arrest me for fraud-for applying for a pay day loan! Saying I misrepresented myself and I never got a payday loan!  It is really scary wen someone tries to take your freedom!  I want to press charges against them! This has been going on for a week!  He calls my husband! When my husband calls back-a woman answers-and says nohing!  It is harassment!  The guy is cockey!  I zapped out on him, told him I did nothing wrong!  I never got a payday loan!  No money was ever put in my account! wtf!!!!! It is nut

The same idiot called me told me he was thru legal affairs and he didnt even have my name correct.  I informed him that the person who gave him my number was using my name and phone and that I had no idea who this person was or what their legal problems were.  I told him that I have contacted the local FBI and had given the information to them and that he should never call back. I checked google and found this. I called him back and told him what I had found out and he said I was the liar and that I was scamming him! My suggestion is to threaten him with the law and let him
know that if he keeps it up he WILL get caught.  Call the FBI, place your complaint online and make sure it happens.

My elderly father received severals calls from "Michael Carter" stating he was a from the affairs and investigation department he was very rude when I called today to follow up on the severals calls my father received he said he will be sending a sherriff to my home to give my father the case information and stop his social security check for fraud which is a LIE.  I asked several times for a supervisor, a manager or the owner and he's answer was I'm the one here the owner its just me and the janitor and if you call 1,000 times you will have to deal with me. I will be making a formar complaint be very careful
