I was scammed out of 275 just today for a 5,000 car loan. Was supposed to send me a refund for 250 with a bogus western union tracking number.

Were you offered a loan by phone, but you had to pay a fee up front?
It is a scam.
It is illegal to offer a loan or credit card by phone in the US and to require a fee upfront.
