Heavy accented female asking if we had anyone in the household who was diabetic.  When I told her no but my mom was, she asked for her number... I asked what this was, who they were and she replied that they help diabetics get their meters at no cost to them.    Claimed it was the "National Diabetes (or Diabetic) Association", which is not to be confused with the official American Diabetes Association.  I immediately figured it was a sales call and dug a little deeper... her hesitant answers gave it away.  I said "thank you have a nice day" and I could hear her shoulders slumping.. "ok..."

The caller id identifies this number as Burke Williams.  I did not pickup because I don't know anyone by that name.

Call came from Burke Williams (Williams Burke?) at 2:50pm July 1, 2011. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the name or area code and no message was left.

I got a call from them, they claim they are from some kind of Diabetic Assiciation.  I could understand this woman, who sound like she from INDIA.  I think she wanted my Medicare number which I am not qualified to received this service.

I hope they do not call back.

Scam. Caller ID just said California. Since I doubt the State of California would be calling me, I didn't answer. Now if the State of Alaska had called.........

Called this morning, didn't answer. Left no voicemail. Caller ID just said "California"

called 7/5 1:17pm - caller ID read Burke Williams.  I did not answer - they did not leave message.

called today. left no message.

got a call from this number asking for my husband and wanted to know how I was related to him.  told her until I knew who she was she was not getting info from me.  she claimed to be with Diabetic services and i told her that I could not understand her and to hold (a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time) for my "husband"..........hopefully, that caused her to make one less call to someone tonight.  told her that if she called back, she would be reported for harrassing communications and that she is spamming and not allowed to call.  

number came up as Burke Williams.

got this call a few minutes ago. googled it cuz this women wit a strong accent asked if household had diabetes. i said no then she asked for contact info for ppl i do no who have diabetes!! told her what she was doin was against the law and dont ever call my house again!! does anyone no how to report this person?

I got the call just now and it came up with a LONG list of numbers so I just picked up the phone and said NOTHING/////////  Then it just cut itself off.

They are very persistent. I have averaged 2 calls a day from them (Burke Williams) for the past 2 - 1/2 week. I do not answer the phone because I don't know who they are other than what I've been reading on this site.

I did not answer it and the caller ID showed the phone number and this V07062341310667. First time I have seen this. I never answer my phone anymore and wait for messages. Who knows if the number you know is not being used. Really gets me mad these people always calling and I am on the list. I report everyone and leave my info but know one ever gets back to me. Does anyone know what they do after someone reports a number? I sure dont.

I got this call twice so far, and of course, did not answer. This number is obviously a scam to get your Midicare number, so they can charge it and make a few bucks.  It's sad, but because of the current state of the economy, there are many more of these types of phone calls than in the past.

I just got the call. If I had my guess I would say definitely from India.  She said her name was Penny. I almost died laughing at that one. Then she asked if anyone was a diabetic I said no and then she said thank you and hung up. I am sure its a scam to trick the elderly out of their money.
