caller id says Los Angeles--do not know anyone there, did not answer.  I am getting really tired of all these telemarketers calling at all hours of the day and as late as 8:45 at night.   guess they don't have a life of their own.

Asked for my husband by name, when I asked the caller was, he said that he was calling from consumer financial. I said that my husband wasn't here. When I asked for a call-back number (although I had the number on caller ID), there was suddenly dead space.

Got two calls from this number today and we have gotten several of these types of calls but first time I actually tried to look up the caller id.  Called it and it was a Health Services Company but the person calling me said they were calling from United Services and wanted to talk about $8000 in outstanding credit card debt. I'm assuming it is some kind of debt consolidation scam but didn't really give him a chance to say much and when I questioned him calling after we had already asked him not to call, he simply hung up.

This jerk called at 9:30 at night, I finally hung up on him and he called back 3 times so I had to unplug the phone. Have you noticed they always sound foreign?

Got a call from this number this morning, told him I was on the Do Not Call list and when I found out it was the credit card paydown SCAM I told him I didn't want any of his [***] he was talking about.  Yeah, I used that word.  He told me to "watch my language".  He put me on a constant auto dialer so every 4 rings right before my machine would pick up, it started over.  I had to call my phone company and they had to block the main number.  I hope that works, I couldn't even use my phone to do that much.  I HATE telemarketers, I used to get 12 calls a day before I got on the Do Not Call.  If I want something, I'll find it myself.  This is just so stupid.  At least I don't have to pay monthly any more to block someone.  I never did think that was fair.  Like the old lady who used to call at 4:30 every morning for about 8 months because she said she couldn't see her phone in the morning when she tried to call her daughter!!!  If I didn't run a business I'd just get rid of the phones all together.  If it starts ringing again after the block, I will get a new phone number or just disconnect the whole thing.  I don't care any more, it's all about intrusions from people you don't want to talk to about stuff (yes, [***]) you don't want anyway.
