Scam claiming to be from treasury department but speaks broken english.

left message saying legal us treasury department with some type of suit

Called identified him self as jason richards said was from dept of legal affairs. Said to call back for Adam Jones and possibly have a lawyer call or I could be in big legal trouble. Spoke bad broken English.

called and said name was Jason Richards from Dept of Legal Affairs from US Treasury.   Said it was about a legal matter and said if I was to call back, to have a lawyer call.   Very bad broken English.  Last I knew, US treasury dept was in Washington DC.  When did it move to Los Angeles  CA?

called and said there was legal action pending against me   said his name is max anderson with the IRS  going to put me behind bars

SCAM!!!  Folks, the IRS does not call.  They mail documentation.  This scam is wide open since it was just tax time ( and you can not go to jail either).

Said was from us dept of legal affairs. I hung up on him and he called me again right away. Called total of five times but never left message on voice mail. Very persistant and very broken English. Definitely scam.

Received two VMs (4/19 & 4/21) from a man w/a very thick Indian accent, both of which I had great difficulty understanding. I returned the call on the supplied/Caller ID'd number (213) 375-0946 (Los Angeles) where "Adam Jones" (The same voice who left the messages) answered. I asked what this was regarding, who he was, why hadn't a letter been sent to me, etc. He said he was with the Dept of Legal Affairs, and eventually after me persistently asking, was told he was an officer w/the Dept of The Treasury. He stated a complaint had been filed against me and that a police officer would arrive to arrest me if I didn't cooperate. He then asked the name/# of my lawyer - and suggested I get a criminal attorney. He said I was going to go to jail. I told him to do what he's gotta do. I will mention, he became very perturbed as I asked more questions, and especially so when I suggested this may be a scam. Tips that this is all complete BS; First VM was on a Sat. He referred to me as "Mike" (I've always used my legal name of Michael on any legal/business/official documentation) - unprofessional. He had an old address of mine on file though the IRS has had my current address since I moved two yrs ago. He wouldn't provide me with a ref number or any pertinent information other than that there were problems w/my 2008 taxes. I'm not a racist; His name was supposedly "Adam Jones" - really, with such a heavy Indian Accent? ..Sure sounded fake to me. From complaints I've read on other sites, Indian men w/names like "Paul Smith", "John Richards", "David Allen", etc are calling and pretty much saying the exact same thing. I was worried for a min because '08 was the yr my father passed and I took care of his affairs after, but all taxes were filed then, all matters closed. Thanks to sites like this, and discovering others have complained, I'm not worried. "Have a blessed day.", as "Adam Jones" said at the end of both messages ;)

Starting getting calls on Easter Sunday, strange since no one would be working this day. Same bad, bad broken English. I called back after a few days of long messages on the machine and they hung up on me. Strange since they were trying so hard to speak with me! Total Scam.

Do not let anyone fool you and tell you that you owe back taxes.
They told me I owed a penalty for 2008 and owed $2000 and to go to walmart and by a green money pack today or that I would be arrested as there is a warrant out for my arrest.
The person calling is Adam Jones, Legal Dept. with the US Dept of the Treasury.
He is calling from a 213.375.0946 and then when you hang up he calls you back and the phone registers as 911.

Same spiel everyone else got, American name, Thick Indian sounding accent.  

"This is a verbal notification for you in regards to the enforcement action that have been started on your name."

"delaying might put you in a legal mess"

He left a voice mail, I took action with the phone provider and filed complaint with ftc.  

First this number called and said they were trying to reach my son, only they couldn't even pronounce his name.  Caller said his name was Steve Jackson from the Dept of Legal Action.   Next, they called my number and said they were the Dept of US Treasury and were looking for me, but they asked for the name my phone is registered in, not my actual legal name as it would be on any tax forms.  I hung up... I could tell it was a scam by the broken english.

This number keep calling me saying I'm going to jail if I don't pay for my 2008/2009 taxis.
How can I get the pearson arrested for trying to scam all of us people are so stupid they so Stupid I wonder if they know we have the internet

I received calls from Steven Jackson for 3000.00 in back taxes that i know to be false. the number used was 323-952-3906
He told me I would go to jail . He wouldn't send me no info on it nor mail me anything about it .

Same sh*t as above different day. As soon as I told this call is being recorded he hung up phone.  All white name "Adam Jones" but not American English. His English worst the Chinese written stereo instructions, with hard to understand indie accent also.

This freaking phone number is still active after all this time? Same guy called me!
