- EspyI just received a phone can from this number. The caller ID stated from "URGENT". I did not answer & they did not leave a message.
- DANDIPCall came in and said Urgent. I did not answer as our number is only used for faxes. When the fax machine came on the caller disconnected. Neither was a fax sent, and if it was that urgent, the caller would have sent a fax to confirm the urgency. None came
- SickofscamsAs noted earlier, I got the "urgent" in the caller ID with this phone number and decided to talk with the scammer. It is a senior scare scam. Not sure if the company's name mentioned in the recording was fake, too, but the recording said "Senior Care USA" had been in business many years.
- Caller: Senior Care USA?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KellyJust received this call again -- the Caller ID says "Urgent". No message left.

- Onur| 1 replyCaller ID said "URGENT". I did not answer. No message was left.
- Richard replies to OnurI just had the same thing happen. There should be a way to get this practice banned. You can't yell "fire" in a crowded theatre, and a scammer shouldn't be able to call using "urgent" as the ID.
- V. StivianoI just got a call from this number and did not answer and no message was left.

- AnonymousNYTimes did an article today on phone scams targeting seniors. These criminals are disgusting, and there are very few protections. I screen all my landline calls and never pick up, but return calls to friends who leave messages. I use my cell for important calls i.e., from doctors.
- Caller: Los Angeles
- RichfunbAnother number to add to the "blocked" list.
- Caller: Urgent

- AnonUrgent- Senior Citizens..... Another SCAMMER! SIck of idiots like this who prey on our elders. These callers should be fined, jailed, and put out of business. Pacifictel Communications should be made to pay fines too, because they are one those phone companies who love to give scammers phone numbers to do business.

This post has two parts. The =second= is for people who are interested in the realities of the Do Not Call list. The =first= is for people who have difficulty understanding long explanations, but think the DNC list does not work.
1)
The DNC list is not a magic switch attached to your phone line, that will block calls.
The DNC list is intended to help stop calls originating from legitimate telemarketers.
* Your calls were not from legitimate telemarketers.
* Therefore, the DNC list will not stop those calls.
2)
The DNC list does not automatically block calls. Instead, it provides a list of "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate, registered telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.
The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations, charities, and companies with preexisting business relationships, as well as debt collectors, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).
The DNC list is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that. Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant calls from BOTH legitimate and scam telemarketing callers!
Here is your reading assignment:

Remember, the FCC's Do Not Call site is a good one to report unwanted calls from LEGITIMATE telemarketers. To report spammers and scammers, visit the FTC site, at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense. Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.
