Said they were with Windows and needed to clean up some errors on my computer.  Charged my credit card $942.00.

Clearly this is a new scan. I just got the same call/same number. Scary thing is they had my full name and phone number. I'm trying to figure out where to report this too.... calling Windows now.

10/19/12 Got call from a guy who identified himself as being with Windows Support and that my computer was producing error messages. I was very suspicious b/c the guy was speaking with an Asian accent but was tough to understand, couldn't imagine him being hired as a customer service agent for any company. I asked for a number where I could call him back and where he was calling from. He told me he was calling from North Carolina and that his name was Alvin O'Brien, employee #104, gave me 213-438-9510 as the number, I recognized this as a California, not NC area code, but my caller i.d. showed the caller's number as 516-965-8057. This guy is obviously a con artist!

This old scam has been around for ages!!  Only the phone number changes!  DON'T EVER GIVE SOME RANDOM CALLER ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER!!  Please people, where has your common sense gone???  The accent alone should clue you in!
