CNUM said US GOVT.  They left a message about joining a live conference call.  What a bunch of BS!

I don't think it is a scam.  The message is from an actual elected official (forgot the name) asking you to join the live local neighborhood conference call.

US GOV on the ID, but the message was of a local rep, and about listening to a town hall meeting, could be legit, could not.

It is Congressman Xavier Becerra.  He is a do-nothing and a career politician because no one runs against him.   Every time I write a letter to my Senators he insists a copy go to him, thus, he gets my phone number, and then he robocalls for a town hall meeting - without fail, always AT DINNER TIME. So tired of this.

Didn't pick it up

I just called the number back and let a message to REMOVE my number from their calling list. I will NEVER vote for any politician who makes intrusive unwelcome calls without my permission.

They asked for me by name

This number has called several times a week, sometimes more than once a day, for the last 5 months. Leaves 3 second long static voicemails. This appears to be the number of a politician in a totally different state. So annoying.
