claims to be DEA....dea doesn't call you....they show up at your door....and this one is 2000 miles away....

I received that call today.  I thought it was very odd.  Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

G$$ D$$$ scammer called at 6:30am. WIsh there was a way to stop these jerks....

Claims lawsuit filled but it is a bogus call.

Fraud! Claimed to be from US Treasury and going to arrest me. I filed a fraud complaint with the actual US Treasury website.

Got call from someone with a heavy accent, claiming to be with the Department of the Treasury, Legal Affairs, on this number.  Found several reports of this scam...

Heavy Indian accent, barely understandable. Called from 213-533-2183. Claimed an enforcement action filed against me. Dept of Legal Affairs. Bogus

Caller was an Indian male, heavy accent and hard to understand.  Said he was with US Treasury and legal action was started against me.  I learned the number 213-533-2183 was a scam and called back. Recording said mailbox was full.  What BS.

Indian male called back saying he was from USTreasury and asked if I knew about the law suit filed against me.  I asked who filed the suit and he said he could not tell me that.  I told him he was full of [***] and this call was a scam and not to call back.  He hung up with no further conversation :)

Claimed a bogus lawsuit. You could hear them doing the same thing to others in the background.  Sounded like a call center.  

I was called with the same scenario. First she said she was with Legal Affairs and the second phone call she said she was from the US Treasury. Strong accent. Advised me to call that number right away.

I had the exact same experience with 213-533-2183.  Indian-sounding caller named "Gary Stone" from the "Dept. of Legal Affairs" left THREE messages claiming that I needed to get a lawyer to deal with an "important matter."

Received call from 213-533-2183.  Could not understand the heavy accent.  What I could understand was his name (Michael ???), and with the department of legal affairs.  Very noisy in the background, sounded like a call center.  Based on everyone's comments, this is a scam.

Thick Indian accent made it barely understandable. All I could make out on answering machine was something about a lawsuit from the government  and get a lawyer and call back. I'm tempted to for fun, but, uh, NO!

got a phone call today from a man named " Jason Snider" Strange since his name didn't seem to match his heavy Indian accent ! Said I should call my attorney or cpa since my 2010 taxes were incorrect and had an error. He calculated I owed $2478.36....Said from Dept of US Treasury calling about my Federal Taxes..wouldn't the IRS be calling? He said he was assisting the IRS. Said he already sent form CP503 to the IRS. I asked why they waited 4 years to call. Usually the IRS was very prompt in finding any errors. Especially since I use TURBO TaX!!! there shouldn't be problems....He just said I would be contacted by his dept's Legal services since a claim has been filed as to what would be happening next. I told him he was a phoney and just hung up. watch out !

I just heard a msg from the same Jack Fuller on my voice mail. Mae vice with a heavy accent.  He stated he was from the Dept of Legal Affairs at the US Treasury. He was calling as a verbal notification for an enforcement action that has been started under my name and If I was too busy I should get an attorney. So I called the number back and the msg says it is too full to take a msg...  Isn't there someone to report this  stuff to so it can be stopped??
