Mark14 May 2007- Received a call from this number yesterday...I am in Nashville, TN but have friends in the Los Angeles area (310, 213 etc...) but received no message. I called back several times only to get a busy signal each time. Thought I'd look the number up online & found they've been harassing others! Ugh! What are we supposed to do about this?
- I also just started receiving calls from this number regarding "my debt". I have no association with them told them so and they gave no details just said they would call back! I am a cancer patient, retired and my husband handles all my fiancial affairs. I thought I should report them as well! Thanks, EJM
- I've complained to the FCC. Please do the same. If the FCC gets enough complaints about this - maybe someone there will realize it is more work to receive our complaints and do nothing than it will be to investigate and stop this person. The FCC address to file a complaint on-line is:

They are exempt from anything they can do. What a crock...this number is no more a "charity" than I am. But I did what I could and after a heated "dont call me again, I just reported you to the FCC, I haven't heard from them again. I suggest you guys do the same.

- i got a call today and then fifteen more times on my cell phone from this number, tried to call back been busy all day, not knowing who it is, this is crap, you mean to tell me the old saying we can put a man on the moon, and women now, but we cant stop people like this, its harrassment, but must be this guys know more about the law and how to beat the system than we do

I haven't talked to these people but this number is constantly calling. I just keep deleting them from caller ID but every day the number is there again. The phone will ring and ring and is a bother. When I'm expecting an important phone call, guess what it's them and how do I stop them from calling? It's my business phone.
- I have been receiving calls from 213-533-8042 since October, they start at 8:45 AM and call 3 to 4 times a day. There is never anyone there if you answer, they never leave a message. I tried calling them back, I get no answer, or sometimes I got this phone is not a working number. However, I have had enough of them calling my cell phone. Someone needs to make them stop.
- I hda to laugh out loud at that one JoJo. THat's hillarious. I'd do the same, but the jerks always hang up as soon as i answer. THey leave no message when i don't, they call all hours of the day or night - on my cell phone! and when i call them i get a busy signal. It's driving me batty i don't care if it's non-profit or for-profit...harrassment is harrassment...no matter who it's from. It's still from someone. I reported it to the FCC too, but from the sound of it they are doing a piss poor job of dealing with it...so forget this........im forwarding this site, and my complaint to the news...maybe they will rattle their cage........we can hope can't we? I know im sick of late night phone calls!! That's for sure...i say everyone do the same...keep reporting to the fcc but also forward your complaint to the news. Then maybe something will actually happen. I would just like to see them do one of their special undercover investigations on these buttheads and really blow them out of the water. I have been getting regular phonecalls from a number that always hangs up when i pick up, they never leave a message when i dont and it's always busy when you call back. They call at all hours of the day and night and when i googled it i discovered that it is a disgustingly common occurance among many other people as well. And they call both landlines as well as cell phones as they did with my cell. The problem is that many people have been reporting to the FCC but a few people said that they got letters from the FCC stating that they could do nothing about it. One letter stated that they were listed as a non-profit orginization so they could do nothing about it. But regardless of what kind of business it is, they are in the business of harrassing people. They called during my phone call with my husband in iraq. Again later during my phone call to my mother in law to update her on her sons welfare and then again at 10:08pm when i was getting ready for bed. It's insane! I just wish i could atleast know who to call to get them to stop calling but i cannot even do that. Others have gotten a person occassionally when they answer and then when they request their numbers be removed they call more frequently instead. If the FCC wont stop them do you think that the media could help atleast rattle their cage and get them to stop even if it's for a little while. I used to get these calls in washington and i changed my number and now i am in colorado and still getting the same calls on a different number. The number they are calling from today is 213-533-8042 and i dare you to google that number and see what you get! All complaints and stories that sound exactly the same. or very similar. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HELP US ALL!!!!!!!!!!!- Same thing started happening to me this week from 213-533-8042. I called t-mobile to see if they could block the call. I had the representative look at this website, he said there was nothing they could do. Does anyone know if these people ever stop calling? At this point I am trying to decide whether I should just cut my losses and get a new number the harassment is ridiculous and I see no end in sight. Emailed the FCC, but from prior postings it doesn't sound like they will do anything either. I am concerned this is headed to some type of identify theft or fraud.
- they are spies, its insane. you ever feel like your being watched or followed, if so, you most likely are, and if your sneaky enough, and you notice these people and not let them notice you, and you get out their view, and thren watch them, youll know..they watch you, floow you call you..

My husband and I just started getting phone calls on my cell from 213-533-8042. I read your reponse on the site. Did you report them to the news and do you know who they are? They are calling us several times a day....it's now harassment. I am a school teacher, and my husband has been carrying my cell phone around....

- Whoo Hoo! After I answer the phone from this number (and all the other "bad" numbers), I just hold the receiver next to our external answering machine and it gives them loud high-pitched screech! BTW...my lovely caller said she was from Yellow Book. Sounds like they're a multi-scam operation.
