213-555-5515

I received a phone call on my cellphone from this number, as well as 219-927-3968 back to back to back. They appeared to speak Spanish (which i know very little of) and would not respond to any of my english questions.

I have received the same call from the same number back to back and i have now reported to my local sherriff's department so it is in their hands right now!

Have been getting calls from this number for about 4 days now. Male voice. Sounds [***]. A lot of distortion, possibly a mechanical voice poorly done. Unable to understand anything that is being said. Have asked "WHO IS CALLING" and "WHO ARE YOU CALLING" Am USCellular customer and have reported this. My CS rep attempted to call this number back and got mesage "your call cannot be completed as dialed" CS also did a google search and said there were many people with this complaint recently. I strongly urge: BEWARE, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RETURN A CALL TO THIS NUMBER!
Have also received calls from 212 221 1112 and 984-849-34 (this is the complete number shown on my caller ID screen.) All calls came in within seconds of each other. I have two phones on my plan. Both numbers are same with exception of last digit. One ends in "1" and the other in "0".
Received calls to both phones a few minutes apart. Who ever is doing this has access to a lot of phone numbers and or accounts. Seriously doubt there was a miss dial on these two numbers.

Sounds like he's is speaking Spanish or either he is [***]. Just kept rambling on & on. Just know I can't understand this person.

My girlfriend has been receiving calls from these as well. She has never answered the calls. I did the other night to find out who was calling and it sounds like Spanish or a bad computer voice. I could here people talking in the background so i assume this some type of scam. Crazy to find there are more people getting these calls.

I started getting calls from this 213-555-5515 and 953-423-12?? yesterday Sept 21 , 2009 . A woman who speaks Spanish, I do not . They call back to back so many times during the night,  I had to turn my phone off. I called my cell company t-mobile they told me I would have to change my phone number to get it to stop. I plan on trying Attorney General and FCC.

Keep getting the same calls you guys are talking about.  Started cursing at them in spanish last time.  Been going on for months.

Then i got a txt from 011-504-95481017 "HEY PRIMO SOY REY"

I then googles the 213-555-5515 number.  and got this page as well as one for a massage companies fax line in LA, california.

My girlfriend its in Honduras she call me from there then few min later they call from 213-555-5515 I believe its a scam i speak spanish as soon as I talk to them in spanish they hang up.... be careful people

Apparently there is some link to Honduras, then, though the area code is in L.A.
 My daughter is visiting Honduras, and has called my cell phone several times in the last week.  Now I've been getting calls from 1-213-555-5515.  I haven't answered.  I guard my personal cell number like a dog with a bone; only a select few have it.  Our land line is constantly bombarded with unsolicited garbage (as though anyone would solicit garbage!) but this is really the first such I've gotten on the non-work  cell.
I wonder what the deal is.   Are people somehow hijacking numbers that are being dialed out from Honduras?  Odd--- but I'm not curious enough to pick up!

i got a call from this number at 6:26pm, but didn't hear it. got a call from 504-978-460-35 also at 6:26, which is the weirdest number ever. then i got a call a minute later from an "unknown" number. i only answered the last one and it was a lady but i couldn't make out what she was saying at all, too much static.

Dead air call recd 2-2-10.  Return call could not be completed as dialed.  Dialed with a 1- prefix and got "411 information"

Received a call from 213-555-5515.  When i picked up they didnt speak english very well. they just kept on asking the same question or variations of the same question "Who is this? Are you there? etc."  After I hung up after about 10 seconds, I received an unknown number call and then a call from 504-3201-7403 and then again from the 213 number.  Anyone know if they can access your phone and use ur account and its services?  Just wondering. (i'm an idiot when it comes to what people can and cant access on a smart phone).

I was talking to a Govt. man Wednesday,  on another matter, but I mentioned the calls
from overseas trying to sell all kinds of RX's.  He just smiled and said they hear about it from hundreds of
people, but  basically are powerless to do anything.    
He said they have trouble getting their own cases in this country prosecuted. They don't have the man power nor the finances to track down these overseas operations. Especially when all you have to do is not buy anything and nothing bad will happen.  They look at the internet like  "the wild wild west". If you are out there, you had better be prepared to cover your own butt.

Folks, this is another of thousands of examples of how the "war on drugs" is destroying our country.  Every prosecutor & agency is so busy chasing down other wise honest law abiding citizens who want to take a pill to lose weight o relax or God Forbid even enjoy themselves for a few hours, that the real criminals run around like America was Dodge City in the 1850's!  It is way past time we start letting our lawmakers know the war on drugs makes Viet Nam look like a huge victory! Stop the war, repeal the Control Substances Act of 1970 and let's go back to catching real criminals in this country!!!  
Please post something, pro or con... it is important enough that they know we are mad as hell out here!

I don't know who it is as i don't answer calls i don't know

We receive numerous calls from this number since the past week.  First a call appears from California (which is not answered), followed by repeated calls appearing as Unknown.  The Unknown calls come in a flurry... ringing for 10-15 rings; disconnect; then repeat this for the next 10-20 minutes.  This usually occurs in the evening, but has also occurred mid-day several times.

Once we answered one of the Unknown calls and, like the other posts here, heard a faint Spanish voice under a lot of static.  We immediately disconnected.

It seems pretty clear that this is some type of scam.

exactly what happened to me today. Then the 411 operator was very rude and told me to call local phone service.  Did turningthe number in help?
