The beginning of the message was cut off.  It started "regarding your accounts, you may be eligble for a lower interest rate, but hurry the deadline has almost expired".  They did not leave a name or number.  I got the tel. # from my caller id on my phone.

Same number here.  Person could not identify specific card account for which they were making a 'lower interest' offer.  Only that they are calling on behalf of Visa/MC cards and did my credit cards total more than $3000?

Telemarketing, phishing .. I thought I was on the 'do not call' list?

Its a SCAM! Just ignore them like all the other fools that phone.

A call from "Sara's Art Gallery" regarding my account, and being elgible for a lower interest rate....I hung up immediately

I got a call from this number - didn't recognize the number and it came up on caller id as UNKNOWN NAME. They left some message about lowering my interest rate. I had heard of these scam calls, so just let them leave their message, then deleted it.

I wish they'd add SCAM to the list of call types below.

Got a call from the above number and by the time I was able to get to the phone (I can not walk very fast, do to my service-connected disability) they hung up. Left no message,  I did not recognize the caller's name or number, and I'm on the Federal 'DO NOT CALL LIST' (which seems to be a joke because all the scammers know how to get around it.)

I recieved a call from this number asking me to press one if I wanted to lower my credit card rates.  So, I did, and I got a young lady who hung up on me when I asked her for her name and the name of her firm.  I filed a complaint with www.donotcall.gov.  The whole business sounds like a phishing scam.

This is a SCAM.  At the end of the automated message regarding "lowering your credit card rates" it encouraged me to push one if I'd like to lower my rates or two if I'd like to be removed from this list.  I pushed two and got a representative anyway, so I asked him who he represented and he replied VISA USA and MasterCard. So I asked him what bank, and he replied Bank of America, Citibank, and someone else I didn't catch.  I then mentioned that we were on the DO NOT CALL list, but knowing that an "existing relationship" could provide an exemption, I asked WHICH of my banks had given him our number.  He hung up.  I'm going to suggest these telemarketing organizations as potential sites for our next training exercise.

Sarah's Art Gallery called from 213-627-0060 announcing they were with "account services" and that to lower interest rates....  I hung up.  I don't have an account with Sarah and her art gallery.
