Well the third call in a row for solar energy telemarketer

Not a solar telemarketer as originally posted it's a marijuana distributor dang I should have asked for free samples.Number has a Facebook link Nugs of Joyz

Another one of those where they keep saying hello, hello, hello?

third call this morning. All different numbers and no one there when I answer.  Blocking.

I know I shouldn't answer, but I have people who call that I actually want to talk to whose numbers I don't know.

No message, blocking it.

Dont usually answer these types of UNK callers  but I picked up one day
and asked the sales guy to remove my number from his list. He became very abusive
and called me an fxxxxxn bxxxxh and slammed the phone done

Start having fun with these guys. The problem is we are being civil to them, when they are abusing us.

First off it is a junk call trying to solicit Solar to Edison Customers. You know you don't want to deal with companies that (1) call you first... If you wanted their service you would find them! (2) Robo Dial you and don't even answer for 10 to 20 seconds or more. They obviously don't put you as a priority while violating FCC and FTC laws to call. (3) Their business practice is to violate the FCC and FTC Laws. Why would you want to do business with anyone that starts off an attempted business relationship when they start by breaking the law. Is this who you want to trust your $$$ with or invite in to your home to provide any service?

Since the government won't do anything there needs to just be a homefront campaign where people let these people know "I won't do business with you because your employer uses illegal practices and is not welcome in my life." When an employee acts as though they weren't aware of this then I often tell them "Your employer has  you taking part in illegal activity. Either you didn't know and you should inform your employer how you feel about it and quit and report them or you did know and are just as guilty. Followed by the question. How do you feel when people call you or your family with these types of calls from an unknown source? I wish the government would catch these people and install a personal explosive implant that the next time they put a magnet such as a phone speaker to their ear their head will explode. This would eventually solve the problem of these calls and good for entertainment value.

Instead what we need that is more likely is legislation that forces phone companies to implement hardware and software that confirms the caller phone # and the customer can opt in or out of receiving unconfirmed callers. Then hold communications companies responsible for providing services to for illegal use. The phone company could electronically monitor unusual calling patterns like robo calling down a list and unusually high calling patterns including to #s on the Do Not Call registry. The phone companies don't say they encourage solicitors to use their services and will actually put in writing it is a violation of their terms of service but will not assist you in identifying the true customers name if you catch a violator and track the # back to the service provider. They know and are profiting as well.

7/01/15 16:38 PDT  My version shows unknown ID and dead air on voice mail.  Suppose I should consider myself lucky, I can see who is calling and if there is no ID I can simply not answer.  If they then want to leave a message, they can do so and I can choose to call back or not.  If a particular number calls multiple times, I now am able to block them and they no longer ring on my end at all.

Blocked this call the first time they called.  According to my CID, they have called several times since and been blocked.  You'd think they'd get the message.

Caller ID says number is 213-627-8830. This is a spamming telemarketer call from an outfit that calls itself "California Green" soliciting to sell you Solar panels with a deal based on using taxpayer dollars to tell you how you end up saving money on your electric bill at the cost of your next door neighbors and your own tax dollars. They've call me endlessly, I'm on the national do not call list, and they keep calling anyway. This has been going on for several months, usually 2 times a week, and telling them to stop calling means nothing to them. If you call their number back you get a recording that says it's disconnected and no longer in service so they are also spoofing the caller ID system. I've even pointed this out to their telemarketers and they lie about it every time.

What I really need is help. I want these people stopped and put in jail. It's not easy for me to get to a phone every time they call and it's painful. I'm disabled. My back is done. It literally hurts me to answer the phone. I don't mind answering the phone, but for this scam I don't need it. These people need to be brought to justice and forced to pay off my home so I don't lose it due to the lousy money I get from Social Security Disability that simply won't pay thee most basic of bills. I want the District Attorney or someone to go after these scam artists and bring them down!

Caller ID said "unavailable." The man on the line became incredibly rude when I asked who was calling and what it was about, telling me I needed to "pay attention," "wasn't listening," and was "incredibly slow." My bad sir, just wanted to confirm it was a telemarketer, not one of my dad's clients.

Picked up and there was no one on the line.  I've received many calls from people supposedly representing Edison and trying to sell solar panels.
