Called saying something was wrong with my windows program and wanted me to type in something / follow his instructions. East Indian voice with numerous other voices in the backround.

got the same thing contacted microsoft stated they would not call u. u have to call them this is a hacker trying to get use of your computer he has also called and tried to get my child to give him remote access to computer.  beware

They cakked me,i started to follow them then it sounded wrong so i hung up,,then i goggled the number saw the posts,,wow i was lucky.I see they are from California,,Anything that can be done?????

Got a call from this number. When I picked it up there was no answer so I hung up. I called the number back and got a recorded message that it was an invalid number. Good to read the other posts and to beware of this.

Hello!  Yes I just received the SAME phone call.  It was exactly as stated in the above posts.  

East Indian voice with poor quality telecommunications equipment.  Told me he was calling from Toronto, Canada, because of all the error messages that my computer was sending to Microsoft.  I asked if he actually worked for Microsoft and he replied that Microsoft never calls anyone, that he works for Windows Service Providers.  He asked me to get on my computer and take the steps in directed me to.  I asked if I could just write the instructions down and do it later.  He said, no, that I couldn't do it that way.  He asked me, "Why can't you do it now?"  At this point, I knew he was a crook looking to gain remote access to my computer.  I asked for his name and he replied "Brad Simpson." Yeah right.  I told him my computer was with my daughter who wasn't home right now and told him to give me a phone number to reach him later.  He said to call him at 1-800-627-0593 anytime day or night.  These guys are total hackers.  Beware!

ya. just got same thing. total bull     these types of scams are becomeing more and more common.  some one needs to do something about these creeps

Got the same call and I got ignorant with him. He started swearing at me and I hung up after a few choice words. What a douche!
