I am on the no call list. Why am I getting robo calls from this #?

I, too, am no call list. These calls are very irritating and inconvenient

People, the DNC list is NOT a magic call-stopping switch and criminals aren't going to follow the laws anyways

Yea, that is why the do not call is worthless, legit companies will stop calling just by telling them, scammers will buy the list, and keep on calling.

Why should scammers pay $16,000 for the list, when they can get an autodialer for MUCH less?
Why should scammers use a list of people who don't want telemarketing calls, so would probably hang up on them?
Why should people NOT sign up for the DNC list, and then be forced to tell multitudes of legitimate telemarketers not to call?

What everyone should know about the Federal Do Not Call List.

1.  The DNC list is effective in reducing or eliminating calls from legitimate telemarketers - telemarketers who have registered with the FCC, and obtained the DNC list.  The DNC list is NOT a call blocking service!

2.  The DNC list is NOT intended to, nor can it do the following:
-- automatically block calls.
-- stop calls from:
--- politicians
--- survey companies
--- debt collectors
--- companies with which you have a "business relationship" in the last 18 months.
--- NON registered "telemarketers" (they do not subscribe to the list, and do not care about the list)
--- telespammers, telescum, and other criminals (these people ignore the law)

3.  The DNC list is for use by private phones, not business phones

The DNC does indeed work, and is quite effective, if you consider the above statements.

If you wish more protection than that afforded by the DNC provisions, obtain a call blocker device, phone or app.  Google is your friend.
