I just got a call today and they left a message on my voice mail with the number 213-784-4822 and the caller identified himself as "John Smith" but he had an East Indian accent.

Received 2 messages from this number.  Caller identified himself as Officer Paul McKenzie, and seemed to be attempting to contact a former employee of our business.  East Indian accent.

Now states that former employee has committed fraudulant activity and that because we are employer, our company has a "case file" created, and that if we do not contact him our "case file" will be "downloaded", and we will suffer legal consequences.

they called my husband and said he was a cosigner for a loan for my sister in law and that they both had criminal allegations against them unless my husband paid , my husband never cosigned for any thing , my sister in law never got a loan , he identifyed himself as officer mike johnson and didnt want to answer by questions bout the adress of the law firm or which internet site she received the loan from , he said he was from hudson law firm and gave the phone number 1-213-784-4822, thank god i found this site i have been worreid all nite and it ruined a special night for me tonite, dont get scammed , i just dont know where they got both our names from? or how they connected them from?

Another call today.  Same story about former employee fraud and our company also having case file.

update called again , in last call he said i would get a letter in 2days to go to court , never got it , so he calls again last night my husband says i already seen you on the internet your a scam , the guy hangs up , then calls three times right after that and doesnt say any thing, ok ,

update same day as last update which is june 4 2009 , i dont know why it put a few seconds ago, any way forgot to tell you first my daughter a school age child answers , he trys to get husbands other contact numbers, like cell phone and work numbers, so watch it,

THIS IS A SCAM. (I think they got my info from a payday loan application or debt consolidation)I have been getting calls from this number for almost a year. Everytime I call back the voicemail is full. Most recently, the caller gave my social security number and said there was a fraud case opened in my name. I finally was able to leave a voicemail message last week. 2 of my friends told me they got similar calls about me. One friend called and spoke w/Jacob Brown, who had a very thick east Indian accent, he said she was a fraudaulant friend of mine but refused to answer any of her questions and eventually hung up on her.

Got calls from this number repeatedly. Said I had defaulted on a payday loan and insinuated criminal charges would be filed. I had to fax an "affidavit" saying I wanted to resume the matter out of court and then provide them with a CC number. I should have listened to my gut when the guy -- "Officer Mike Johnson" with the very thick East Indian accent -- said they didn't do western union or moneygram.

I was fooled into thinking I was resolving an old debt. One payment was taken from the CC number I provided, then nothing else. I tried to follow up, and the number's now been disconnected. I've since checked with the payday loan company and they told me it was fraudulent.

He only got away with $125 ... at least I was smart enough to use a prepaid debit card ...

FYI company usually id's itself as "Hudson Law Firm." Seems they like to change phone  numbers -- some of the ones listed here are disconnected.

It's a fraud. Report it to the California attorney general. The one listed here has since been disconnected.

This number called us by a man named (Julian) saying my whole family has to evacuate from our home by 5pm and called us at 3pm..saying hes goin to bring cops and tow trucks.. goood thing i found this site!

Got a call from a debt collector at 3 pm saying that at 5 pm they were sending cops and that our house was being taken, unless we payed them there money. Also a guy named "julian" who was a "lawyer". With a thick Indian accent. When I called them back he couldn't answer my questions he just kept repeating the same legal terms over and over again. When I drilled him about personal information he hung up.
