Person called for donation to Fraternal Order of Police. I told him that I was checking it right now at Charity Navigator. He thanked me for my time, said they'd call later and hung up.

Guess what? Charity Navigator doesn't have an entry for them as a rated organization. They do have over 100 unrated entries, but of those are in California where we are and where this area code is.

Illegal spoofed call, and illegal spoofed call = SCAM.  Didn't answer (I NEVER answer calls from unfamiliar numbers).  Blocked this number.

7/21/16  9:48 PDT  Don't answer calls with ID's beginning with "V" and no message was left.  Will add to blocked list.

The cid showed "unknown name" and phone number 213-785-3853.  Left no message.
Beware of calls from unknown name.  Hide your wallet.

Called just now but I was home to hear one ring then bye bye thanks to my blocking service.  I'm glad to see that these bogus "charities" get blocked.
Caller ID shows V72121410700092.  So 7/21 - date;  BUT 21:41 is Eastern time.  So, despite this number being in a Los Angeles area code, maybe it's being spoofed from the East coast?  Who knows.

Called, no message left.  Scumbags

5:20 PM - disconnected call on 2nd ring, then blocked.

Called at 5:45pm today while I was out. Did not leave a message. Has called before. CID says Los Angeles CA. I don't answer unfamiliar or unidentified numbers. They never leave a message. I must be on somebody's stupid list because I get so many of these scam calls daily.

(213) 785-3853 called yesterday. I did not recognize the number, so I did not answer.
ID shows "Los Angeles, CA"

No message was left so its number blocked.

Call came in at 9:07 am on Sunday morning.  CID begins with V, that shows it's from a robo dialing service.  BLOCKED !

213-785-3853 = 213-785-3856 = same scammers. These scammer called; didn't answer it and blocked this number from future calling too.

12/04/16  17:48 PST  Been blocked since July, but just keep trying.  Even if they hadn't been blocked, calling
Sunday evening around 5:45 with nothing more than a "V" ID would guarantee non answer.

Fools tried again today at 5:29 pm, but were still blocked. I've now also blocked them with my phone provider so hopefully it won't even ring once if they call again.
