Got a call from this number.  They did not leave a message.  I've tried calling the number three different times and it's always busy.  Mystery.  

I received a from this number too.But I didn't call back because i thought it was mostly likely a scam!

it took 2 hours for LAPD to respond to my complaint report on neighbore's  loud music playing back yard party.  2 hours!!  It used to be more prompt & good when that cheif from former NYPD was in charge. But, at least, they called for a follow up.

This number is the Los Angeles Police Department Emergency Dispatch. It is a one-way line. They can call you, you can not call them. If you want to call the dispatchers back, you have to go thru the systems automated front end, The Los Angeles Police Department's non emergency number; 1-877-275-5273.  The reason the Dispatcher called, was the assigned officer to our original call was inquiring  if we were still waiting at the scene of the traffic accident waiting for an officer to arrive. We said yes, to which she replied the officer will be there shortly, saying the officer had been busy on other calls, but was now free for us. Forty five minutes later, when the officer did not arrive, I tried to call the Dispatcher back by choosing this number on my cell phone and receive an out of service recording for the number, 213-928-8370. After 3 times I concluded this line is block for incoming calls.

LAPD dispatch call back number. They can call you but you can not call them back on it. This is not a scam. This is a legit line.

Normally I don't pick up the call from number I don't know. Accidently, today I pick up the phone call from this number. 213-928-8370. She said she called from LA police department and she asked "Can you hear me?"
Of course I didn't say yes. I heard on the news.
There are many scams that use the sentence "Can you hear me?" They just wanna record "Yes" from us.
It's not Police depart.

Had a bad experience in dtla clld the lapd and ended up going home i called them at 7:30 pm they responded until 2 am. SMH
