Wanted to collect a debt

Do you think this company is a scam or a legit company

Scammer called my work's HR office and lied and said i had missed a court date and that i had to call them back or be arrested.  Then when i called the back letting him know it is illegal to contact my work telling them of a legal matter they tried to say that their process server in my area had contacted my work not them.  I then informed them that in my state we do not have process servers on sheriffs officers are allowed to serve warrants and notices to appear in court he thing became very rude.  He asked for my info which i said if you're serving me you should already have it in front of you.   He asked if i was gonna take care of this matter I in formed him i owed no one money and you can feel free to send your server by my house anytime where he will be greeted with a .45 for trespassing.  He tried to be smart and reply well i'll have him serve you at work.    Scam artist scum I've bee debt free for years and he called over a week agao and no ones still shown up.  Don't let these fake collectors scare you with their lies into trying to pay know your rights!!!!!

Also contacted my state AG office and filed a complaint.

Called my work, asked for HR, and my HR dept sent me a message to call him.

I called and it's a scam.

He kept saying " I need to know what your intentions are." I finally just said to take me to court. He got mad... ramballed off some info and then hung up.

Complete scam.  Woman "secretary" threatened a failure to appear in court judgement if client did not return call in 2 hours.  This was at 4:00 p.m. local time.   I think they forgot west coast is hours later than rest of country.

Probably that character "Dave Delgado."  He's a bad actor.  Talks like an ex-con.   No idea of his real name or who or what he works for.

Not certain but I think they could be located in New York state.  Home of the debt scammers.  They seem to be using a VOIP system to disguise their location.

Total scam.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated

Don't pay any attention to their stupid threats.
If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Yeah tried calling me and threatening me with a summons. Is it real. How did he know I had an old debt with kays jewelers

Some guy named Dave Stevenson, Had the nerve to call my cell number looking for my ex wife .that he could not reach her at her plce and they need it to give her papers from their office To say she was being sued and she need it to call them as soon as possible they unfortunately had some of my info. We're I lived and all. Then Gave me this fake number and case ## and said he was from bergen associates and was trying to contact her to appear in court.. out of Los Angeles.  I was like uuhh we don't even live there.. so he try to play it off and stay cool, but I said no more and I just said ok we see you soon. And hung up.  Those scumbags need to be thought a real good lesson for trying to ripped off honest hard working people.  Karma is a B!*? $.

Same situation with bergan associates calling my work and saying that they are coming to serve me papers and told my boss how much of a scene they were going to cause if they didn't put me on the phone. My boss told them it is illegal to come to my place of work. When I got on the phone they gave me another number to call. When I called using *67 they were unprofessional and rude to be attorneys so I hung up to collect more information. What is scary is they already have my social security number. 323-536-1850 is the new number they are using also in Los Angeles

When I asked if they were trying to pull a fast one on me because of reports I read online I was sent to "supervisor" whom got missed up and said he was through medicaid when he answered. So not only are they collecting debt but they are also selling some kind of health insurance. Then said oh yeah this is Bergen associates. I said I am confused and he said he thought I was a sales call. Like trying to sell him something. I said you sound like a young boy that has no clue what he was talking about... He laughed and said he hadn't got that one before and said he was a old woman. OK I am now getting off the phone because you are full of *hit.

They call themselves Berg and Associates now.  Same scammy people, I'm sure. Calling from 323-642-8218.  "Rick" is the guy's name now.  Total scam operation, say they are in Los ANgeles, but  no one can find them listed anywhere.

These scammers called a family member saying they want to serve me papers for what?  Called them to find out  they are Bergen and Associates message center. The same Bergen & ass responsible for calling people jobs over fake collection matters.  Its a total scam. If they call me back I am going straight to the State attorney office and enter a complaint.

These fools tried to tell me I missed court and it was a failure delivery to my address in grand prairie. what is disrespectful is my permanent  address (bc I'm military), my parents are always there bc my dad has ALS, so he can't go anywhere all the time. Someone is always available to answer the door like 85% of the time. And we have surveillance monitors to see if anyone comes by once we are gone. Aint nobody tried to deliver anything. [***] Liars

They called my family with a bunch of threats toward me but never contacted me personally.... Sounds like a scam to me!

Called my brother looking for me saying there was a lawsuit going on and they are looking for me. Nice!!

This afternoon my brother got a call from a man asking for information about my mother. He asked who was calling and he said he was calling in reference to my mother and serving her with some sort of court papers. My brother sent me the phone number and asked me to call them. So, I called and asked them what the problem was and they said they couldn't divulge any information to me. When I told them that my mother was in a nursing home and suffering from dementia, they threatened to find out where she is to serve her there. My daughter called the number using *67 and after a few rings the voicemail recording said that they were Bergen Associates. These people should be ashamed of themselves, not only are they harassing my brother and I, but trying to get my elderly mother's information is completely low. They're scam artists and if they continue harassing us I will definitely pursue legal action.
